Ordering a pizza in 2012
That's a funny post, Johnny, and it was quite well done.
Fortunately though, now that the fear-mongering ultra-conservative bloc is no longer in power, it may not become a reality until the balance in government tips again.

Let's hope it doesn't.

The govt is the one that does it. And we havent had a real conservative in office for years, so yeah......
I say that as I used to have a good friend who lives in D-ville. She qualifies under "Psycho wee-todd-ed"
FYI, This video is fake, under Obama's plan NOONE will be able to afford $20 for pizza. That is, unless Pizza Hut starts taking food stamps.
Frank, I appreciate your comment and I'm going to try to answer you as directly as I know how. I am a registered Republican, I vote. I am a retired Air Force pilot. The President is our Commander-in-Chief. I know I have a responsibility to present opposing views, and if those views are not accepted, I also know how to, "Salute and say, Yes Sir!"
But, the National ID thing came up back in 2002 when Congress (the Republican controlled Congress) told the Transportation Department to look into establishing a National ID system. In 2005, the Republican controlled Legislature, over the objections of the Democratic minority, passed legislation that really put this National ID thing into motion. This was over the objections of the States too and it was opposed by the Gun Owners of America, since they feared it would lead to more oppressive gun control. It was strongly supported by the White House - the same White House that had been carving away the protections on personal liberty guaranteed by the Constitution, in the name of national security.
The National ID contains a smart chip that gives a "screener", you can think TSA flunky here if you'd like (I do) - the ability to "scan you at a distance and determine who you are, your current status with the law, probably your credit scores, etc., etc. (Because all of this adds up to a "profile" that may make you "good" or "bad").
I sense most of us don't want this kind of power in the hands of our beloved Government. But, the previous Administration and Republican Congress did all they could to make it a reality.
Do all these concerns make me an Obama fan? I actually think I'm a fan of the system of government that our Founding Fathers envisioned. It was the system that I gave an oath to "Protect and Defend" when I was commissioned. You have the right to have a different view. That is a right that my Brothers in Vietnam died to protect.
OK, that's enough of a soap box.

Having said that, no one who values their freedom can condone the power grab that has been going on since January 2009. Obama's latest "health care reform" is nothing but a power grab. Washington could not care less if all Americans have health care (which they won't) after his bill is passed. All Obama hopes to accomplish is sweetening the pot so that more illegals will come to America and get free health care for voting for Democrats. This is what amnesty is all about.
Not to mention a $1000 fine per year for any American who chooses not to join the plan. That's called fascism last time I checked.
Regards, Frank.
I am well aware of the Real ID act. I am still chapped at Bush for giving us the Patriot Act, which was completely unneeded. The gov't has been tapping the phones and eavesdropping on the public for decades going back to the beginnings of the cold war.
