I would make the 5.5' bed available on a regular cab and put the gt500 engine and 6 speed in it and call it a Lightning.

I think the 5.5' bed on the regular cab would have to be called the 'cube'.

Throw in the GT500 engine and other effects and it would be 'dice' or 'dicey'
because when you stomp it, you don't know WHAT is gonna happen.

I would get rid of the taurus x for sure,
bring back the Bronco with a superduty front end and drive train and a new version of the removable top.
bring some of the australian models to replace the sedans.
Make the Raptor available in better colors and in crew cab .
totally redesign the ranger.
make a special edition cougar on the mustang platform, then kill off merc!

I think what I would do with the Raptor is, not make them and wait for them to be sold. I would make the 6.2 an option in all trims and create a program where, if you want a Raptor, you purchase whatever trim level you want and then purchase a "Raptor Upgrade" or something where you send your truck to a special Ford place and they lift it and put tough running gears and air lockers, off road lights, basically all the things that the Raptor is now, and some vinyl so that everyone knows its a Raptor and some lifted XLT.

but you cant build a cougar and shut down mercury unless you changed it to the ford cougar but then you would be going against 40+ years of history. im with you though id like to see the cougar make a come back (not the little ricer model!) but a muscle car like it started, shoot everyone is going retro make a retro cougar.

and now that i think of it get rid of the ranger. Make a f100 mid size like toyota and nissan. offer a 4 banger and a v6, boxed frame and a crew cab then half the people (including me) would use it. I dont use my 150 for towing much (except my new boat ) i could get by with a f100 then you could put the diesel into the f150 and gear it more to farmers, ranchers, construction ect.

And if a ford CEO happens to stumble across this, listen here pull your head out of your @$$ make these TRUCKS get the fuel mileage there capable of getting why dont they come with efans, better ecu tunes, less restrictive exhaust/intake and so on. ive done those four and swear that ive gotten 5mpg better. there is so much more you could do to get the tree huggers off your back

ps i cant spell or use grammer either. it doesn't matter though i can pull the trigger on my rifle to defend this country so that i have the right to say what i want to who i want even if i dont capitalize my "I"

just my 2 cents

It seems so retarded to make the milan, mountaineer, mariner, sable and keep the dinosaur of the marquis alive but no thoughts on the cougar. They are all ford models just fancied up a bit. The cougar would give ford an advantage on people considering the new camaro and challenger. And bring back the fortyniner concept to replace the crownvic. I cant stand seeing Impala and charger cop cars.
