Calling all Canadian's!
Qub3d - No the HD isn't S/C. Mine will be soon. I order the Holley S/C Kit. Can't decide if I want to put it in or not. My insurance is bad enough already and would probobly just get worse. If I do install the kit it will be a weekend cruiser. I got mine through Advantage Ford in the S.E. just off of Mcloed and Canyon Meadows Blvd. They were really good. And they also seem kinda Mod friendly. Every time I go there they have a diffrent Lightning in the show room. So I recomend going there to take a look. I can't remember my salesman name right know, but will get if for you. He was awsome and helped us in any way possible. Stay away from Woodridge right by Chinook Center. They are awful to deal with. I believe they may be S/C the 2002 or 2003 Harley. So you may want to wait.
Black Light- Ya I just got back from Kelowna BC. Just beautiful weather there also. I think Western Canada is having quite the hot spell.

LowriderHD;
Interesting comments about Advantage - that's where I bought my truck and I have found the service department terrible to deal with. Not so much from the modification perspective but they can't fix anything on the first try.
Also, Advantage and Woodridge are both owned by Gerry Wood.
If you are looking for S/C install, try calling WMS.

LowRider, the last big car show I was at was Three Hills about a month and a half ago. It was one of the biggest shows I've seen! They also had a big mud bog for the mudder trucks. I've check out *****'s once before, looks like a cool place for car nuts to hang out. Would like to finish off my truck and bring it by. Advantage Ford sounds like a good place, a friends stepfather picked up a silver L from those guys. I deal with Universal and Metro most of the time. I've had problems with Universal with warranty work. It's like squeezing blood out of a rock!
Ian N/LowRider, I've watched WMS install a Magnacharger on a HD. There good for custom Ford applications.
Did anybody here happen to get caught up in that big street race crack down that happened about a month ago on 50th Ave, between 52nd st. and Road King? I was one of the unfortunate people to get caught up in it.
Cop gave me a "Failure to produce registration certicate" ticket. DOH!(had it, just forgot to bring it!)

Ya I got caught in that raid.
Fordification - Ya I was caught up in one of the raids. I'm not sure if it was the same on but in that same location. We got there just as they were setting it up. We were following all the cop cars to see what was goin on. Than they set up a check stop. Huh.. They wern't to bad to us. The second time they came by though the harrased me alot. Started accusing people of stuff no one was doing. Oh well. Were just gonna have to find a new spot. It seems that theres some ricers racing out on the road right beside my house. They use my neighbors lot to turn around. Walked over 2 nights to see whats goin on. There even laying down bets.
About the S/C. May not install it. A friend of mine may buy it off me for his 00 f-150. He needs alot of power for the trailer he pulls to go camping. As soon as he saw it he had to have one.

That one night at 50th, they had like 10 cruisers, 5 paddywagons, a checkstop bus, and a couple flatbed trailers. "A" channel was down there filming too! They were starting to walk towards us to interview us, but never did. I guess the cops also had an undercover cop video taping everything that happened. Something like 75 tickets were handed out. My buddy got a racing and stunting ticket. He was the last one to race, and as he came back, there was a big line of cops behind him. Sucks to be him!
Ya that was quite operation. we were chassing the cops to see what the hell was goin on. Didn't think they were gonna have that kind of operation. At least we were able to get away without any problems. Thats pretty funny they had a undercover cop filming everything. Pretty sneaky. Good old A channel. They seem to get involved in everything. Was that the same night that they accused that one civic for racing when they found him rapped around the light post. It was all over the news that he was racing. Which was untrue. He was speeding, but not racing and just lost control when he was ******* garbage on the road. One of my friends is friends with his younger sister. Too bad. You know what we need around Stampede time. Is a Stampede Show and Shine. Would probobly turn into quite the event if someone ever organized it.
So have you gone down to any of the bars for Stampede yet. I went to the Snoop concert at Cowboys. That was to funny. Than last night went and saw Janet Jackson before I headed to Nashville North. At NNorth it was just crazy last night. Completly packed with good lookin girls all dressed up like country girls. Gotta to love a girl in a cowboy hat. Looks sexy.

I don't know if you've heard of them but A-Channel is a blatant copy of City-TV in Toronto.
So, a few years ago, one of the cameramen/reporters from City-TV was driving up to a crime scene, hanging his camera out the car door while driving to get the effect of zooming up to the scene.
As he races around the corner near the scene, hanging out the door, he loses control and crashes into a bunch of parked cars!
The police charge him (in the hospital) with dangerous driving and issue a public warning to City TV about their crazy antics.
Poetic justice if you ask me!

I raced a white Civic about 4 months ago, but I didn't see this paddy wagon coming up behind us. My brother started us off, and the Civic pulled off right away except I never noticed, and burned up the street for about a block, and then noticed the cherries. Luckily they weren't able to peg me with racing since the Civic pulled off, so I was charged with careless and stunting. The stunting charge has already been quashed in court, so hopefully the same will go for the careless. This afternoon I headed down to the Sterling parking lot and had a couple wabbly pops. Some nicccccccccccccce looking cowgirls out there! I'd love to just walking around all day, gazing at the sweet looking chicks. Cowboys is GREAT for long haired tight packed gals. I can never seem to find anybody up for checking the bar scenes out. I'm not much for country music, but I'd make sacrifices. Well, I'm off to Waterton tomorrow for a weekend of camping/beering drinking. Later
YA Cowboys is a blast. Went last night after me and a couple buddies stumbled around the stampede grounds. Ya your sure right about cowboys, girls every where last night. All lookin in prime condition. Same with at the grounds. A bunch of us are heading to Nashville North again tonight. I'm also not much of a fan for the country music. But if you get pissed enough all those red necks complaining about there women actually sorta sounds like music. Enough that i'll make an *** of myself on the dance floor. Can't wait for tonight. Gonna get *****ty!!!.
Civic - I have had the same thing happen to me twice. One time in my z-28 95 camaro. Was racing my buddy in his 92 5.0 Cobra. My buddy just lit up the tires all the way to the next light than locked up his breaks and slid right into the intersection. Police wern't ot happy about that. Than racing a Durango R/T. Same thing except we both took off. Cop choose me instead of the Durango. Ya they sure have been cracking down on traffic Violations right know. I have 5 tickets sitting in my back pocket from over the last month. For stupid stuff also. Gonna see them in court I guess. Fordification you use the points guy don't you. I was wondering do you think he's the best. I worried he getting to big know and starting just to get it over with. I have him working on a case and he hasn't even talked to me yet. May try the guy at the Road King.

Good thinking RR, I'm gonna have to try that
It's just a way of life around here. Never turn down a challenge. It's just starting to turn into quite a big racing sceene around here. No one though really knows how to get involved. So they just drive around like amniacs and race on the streets. Most of these tickets are after they close the track and we still have a couple more races to check out before we head home.

LowRider, I find it pretty beneficial using Charlie, the Pointts lawyer dowtown. The two biggest plus's is that 99% of the time, he's able to get the demerits dropped, and some of the fee, and secondly you usually don't have to make a court appearance, saving you a days pay. The insurance hike is the biggest thing I'm worried about. Your looking at around 30-40% increase for 3 years, works out to be about triple the cost of the Pointts lawyer. I kind of question how he's able to bargain down on any ticket with very little information. The last few tickets of mine, I faxed in a detailed description of what happened. A friend of mine that works at the Road King knows Dale from Pointts knows him really well. I've heard good and bad things about him. The one night a friend of mine got into an accident at 50th from an import pulling out right infront of him, Dale got out of bed to come down there and check the scene out.
roadrunner, there's been a big contraversy around here about that. A columnist in the local newspaper has been shooting down the street racers. His argument is that since the track is open friday nights, there should be no need to drag on the street. The program is working, but only for friday nights. Saturday nights the track is closed, so everyone takes to the streets. The big problem is all these import guys doing e-brake slides and donuts in the middle of the street near cars and people. Those guys give the rest of us a bad name. Most of the time, we don't even race. We just hang out showing are cars off and talk about our rides. The racing we do is much more civilized and thought out compared to the bone heads with there Honda Civics and such, racing towards crowds, and doing 3-way races.
