Drag Racing

I use to drag race for points with C.D.R.A., but found it to expensive. Now I just go out to the Secret Street at Race City and sometimes race or watch. My Mickey's are burnt up so I'll have to by some new meats to make it worth it, otherwise I might as well setup camp on the line. Do you frequent the strip much?

Drag Racing in Calgary

I also sometimes head down to Race City to watch a bit of the races. Haven't entered any yet. Have to wait to complete some mods. I'm always driving through Road King (Truck Stop on Barlow Tr.) and seeing if there are any other custom trucks driving around Calgary. What parts of Calgary is Everyone from. I just moved to the N.W. part of Calgary in a part called WoodLands Estate. But I am alweays cruising around the S.E. part of town, Like Midnapore and SUndance. Just wondering if I have ever seen any of you guys or gals around. I drive a 2000 Harley Davidson.

Oh yeah, Bambino, we really miss the good 'ol NDP!

When you go back to Edmonton, maybe you'd like a couple of $400 million aluminum floating hi-tech beer cans to cruise up & down the North Saskatchewan River. For sale cheap!!

Time to hit the inflate-a-pool & drink a 5% alcohol beer. It's pushing 30 degrees here today. Cheers...

Ya were also passing the 30 C mark here in Calgary. I fell sorry for all the people at The Calgary Stampede today (The greatest outdoor show on earth). Oh **** i remember. It's also senior day. I bet the paramedics are having quite the day. Yesterday there was over 20 i believe cases of heat stroke.

Talking Canadian eh!

I know a few weeks ago someone asked if there were any Canadians on this site. I just want to say I just registered but I have beed on this site for quite a while. I have a couple of questions for yall. First, where can I get a Ravin muffler in Ontario, preferably somewhere near Toronto? Secondly, I am about to sell my Dodge on Saturday and I want to know if anyone has any advice on searchinf gor a new 97-01 used F-150 4x4? I wouldn't call myself a mechanic, but I know a few things about vehicles. Any advice would be appreaciated. Hell does anyone know of anyone selling a used F-150 for a reasonable price.
Let me know people.
Thanks in advance

Cool Ravin Mufflers

OPIPE, you can get a Ravin Muffler from any Midas shop. You should have some around T.O. somewhere close to you, worse case scenerio, you would have to drive out of T.O. some but I wouldn't think far. I have the Z55 and really like it, don't know if I could handle the Z33 (louder one). I currently have drone from the 55 between 2000-2500 rpm. Before and after that, it isn't that bad, sounds great accelerating and has a nice burble when you let off the gas to slow down.

As for looking for a new/used F150 check out http://www.trader.ca see if they have anything in your area at either dealers or even private sale. You can sometimes get a really good truck through a private sale. If you are looking for new, you can go to http://www.ford.ca and build the truck that you would like and see what it would cost you. Hope this helps.

Have Fun & Keep on Truckin'

Marshie, I coulndn't be happier that i'm not going on the fat cat to Nanaimo, but rather going to Comox directly. I like the old ferries 1000x better.

And Lowrider = when i got home from work, it was still 35 here in Edm. I thought i left this weather years ago when i left southern ontario!

Hey LowRider, I live up in Ranchlands, up in the NW also. I think I've seen you driving threw the Road King on a couple Saturday nights. That's where we all hang out for the street racing, but I haven't been there since the cops cracked down. I'm reeeeally getting sick of these Stampede breakfasts going on downtown. They just crank the country music, and drives me nuts hearing it when I'm working in my office!

I think it's my company pounding the music.

Hey Fordification. I think it's my company playin the music downtown. Were on a 11th ave and 5th street. We got a band down there, and they just cranked up the music downthere. Were 11 floors up and still can hear it clear as day. And they exspect me to work.

Ya I never drove through the road king that much. The last time I went was one of the first time the cops came and they harrased me quite alot. So I've decided not to go back lately. I think I may swing by quickly this weekend. Just to make my pressence felt by the chevy drivers. Just represented ford.

So you live up in Ranchlands. You must be a Big Bucket Car wash man then also. That is the best car wash in Calgary. I love that place.

To funny! I'm on 5th Ave and 5th St. S.W. on the 11th floor of the Second Cup building. I'm exactly 6 blocks north of you.

I've heard of the Big Bucket Car wash, but have yet to try it out. Where abouts is it?

6 Blocks North

What a small world. I know where that is. I'm probobly looking right at you right know. So smile and look pretty. I bet it was our music blarring down 6 blocks. You couldn't even enjoy the breakfast the music was so loud. Gotta love the Stampede.

The Big Bucket is in the CrowFoot Circle. Right by the Acura dealership. It great there. They charge by the minute so your not running around looking for change. They even have blow dryers to dry off your car. A floor mat cleaner for free. Basically everything. It's only $0.45 a min. So you can clean it inside and out for under $5. Pretty good deal. Good quality cleaning supplies also. If your nice to the guys that work there it usally free. Espicially if they like your truck. Do you know of any good Car Shows lately. I planning on heading to ****** Hambergers right on Mcloed Tr. tonight. They have a little show and shine every Wednesday. Pretty neat cars. Sometimes a few will take off to a deserted industrial road and show what there cars can do. Last week there was a SuperCharged Z-28 with all the bells and whistles. That car sure can go. I hoping he's there tonight. May bring down my brothers car (Rousch Stage 3) and show him what a real car can do. haha. We were talkin trash last time he was around and he seems pretty confident. Might have to give him a go.
