I don't know why these truck forums post such crap. If you want to see what the new Ranger will look like without all of the blackouts, look here:
http://www.ford.com.au/servlet/Conte...YPage&site=FOA

I'll probably have one of the first ones to hit the streets.

That's exactly the truck I posted in the pic, but with a left hand drive. Looks like **** .

Looks like a mix between one of those Mitsubishi trucks and a Subaru WRX. Ugly for sure.

You won't think it looks like dogdoo when you see it in person. It's about the size of a Tacoma or midsize truck. While it won't be remembered for it's good looks, it will be a dramatic change in what you think a Ranger should be. This is just the beginning of Fords positioning itself as a global automaker. Ford has positioned itself to be THE worldwide leader for decades to come. The new Ranger is just the prelude of the technologies you will be seeing. Add a few custom parts like a billet grille, some decent wheels, and this will be THE truck the younger crowd will want.

If they are only increasing the HP to 250, they are already behind with a whole new truck.

Plus, that nose isn't going to work at all, especially if they want to continue their "bold" styling.

OMG! It looks like that truck is a mix of a Ford Edge, Nissan Frontier, and an added touch of a Subaru Baja.

YUCKKKKKKKKKK!

As I was looking at the pictures, I was dawdling that same question back and forth to myself...

Are they afraid the wheel is going to fly off? Whatever happened to the Ford standard 114x5 lug standard? Is that out the window?

Yea but why? Dont tell me "because everyone else is doing it"

I want to know what the benefit of 6 lug is. I know you can haul more and have better weight distribution per stud, but why on a mid sized truck? Isnt the max tow gonna be around 4,000 pounds?
