Dear American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists and Obama supporters, et al: We have stuck together since the late 1950's, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce. the liberal judges and the ACLU. Since you hate guns and war, we'll take
our firearms, the cops, the NRA and the military. You can keep Oprah,
Michael Moore and Rosie O'Donnell (You are, however, responsible for
finding a bio-diesel vehicle big enough to move all three of them).

We'll keep the capitalism, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical
companies, Wal-Mart and Wall Street. You can have your beloved homeless,
homeboys, hippies and illegal aliens. We'll keep the hot Alaskan hockey
moms, greedy CEO's and rednecks. We'll keep the Bibles and give you NBC
and Hollywood .

You can make nice with Iran and Palestine and we'll retain the right to
invade and hammer places that threaten us. You can have the peaceniks and
war protesters. When our allies or our way of life are under assault we'll
help provide them security..

We'll keep our Judeo-Christian values.. You are welcome to Islam,
Scientology, Humanism and Shirley McClain. You can also have the U.N., but
we will no longer be paying the bill.

We'll keep the SUVs, pickup trucks and oversized luxury cars. You can take
every Subaru station wagon you can find.

You can give everyone healthcare if you can find any practicing
doctors. We'll continue to believe healthcare is a luxury and not a
right.

We'll keep The Battle Hymn of the Republic and the National
Anthem. I'm sure you'll be happy to substitute Imagine, I'd Like to Teach
the World to Sing, Kum Ba Ya or We Are the World..
We'll practice trickle down economics and you can give trickle up
poverty your best shot. Since it often so offends you, we'll keep our
history, our name and our flag.

Would you agree to this? I'll bet you ANWAR which one of
us will need whose help in 15 years.

What, you don't like the fact that our current president is legitimizing oppressive, thug dictators in the name of diplomacy?

I don't like it one bit either, but we've got a large portion, perhaps a majority, of our population that thinks what the current administration is doing is good foreign policy.

In the end the real story is, the people who would like to preserve what has taken generations of hard work and sacrifice to build have an increasingly difficult job to do to correct the harm that is being done today.

This isn't improving this countries relations around the world. It's bending over to the rest of the world. Passivity is not the answer.

Obama has a lot he personally can learn from talking to Chavez.

1) How to eliminate opposition media.

2) How to escalate nepotism and crony-ism to levels found in Latin American dictatorships (if we have not already)

3) How to remain in power for as long as you want


IMO, there are many things the current POTUS admires about Chavez. Sure, he may be a thug dictator to me and you, but it seems Obama looks up to him.

His open embrace of Chavez shows the world that the US President thinks socialistic dictators are good, and that we are perfectly happy to rely upon them for our energy needs. This is, afterall, the same man who bowed down before the Saudi king.

Chavez also has a very good relationship with Iran, and has been honored by the Iranians for his international support of their nuclear program.

BTW, Chavez has a history of oppressing Jews, among other human rights violations. When not bashing the USA, he has routinely condemned Israel. Wonder if Chavez, the Iranian President, the Saudi King and Obama will ever get together to discuss our Middle East policy?

Ref - I see some difference in the pics - Yours is a telephoto shot, probably one that Bush was unaware was being taken. BTW, we have military bases in Saudi Arabia. So our relationship with them is a bit different.

Bush was also a strong advocate for Israel and opponent of Iran and their nuke program. Obama & Chavez? Not so much.

I'm afraid that by the time the next 8 years are over, even you strong Obama supporters will long for the days of Bush. Strap yourself in, it's going to be a bumpy ride. Open your eyes; you will see.

The Obama/Chavez pic was clearly staged for public consumption, and no doubt the Chavez PR machine will use it to his great benefit.

 

Actually the shot was very clear---it became grainy when I enlarged it; here it is

---my point is simply this---Our diplomacy is hypocritical---and yes---the Saudis do engage in a large variety of civil rights breeches with intensity---but because we have a need for oil and a military presence, we can and do overlook these. Our relationship is based on necessity,not moral grounds.

Same thing during the Iraq/Iran war---ironically, during Operation Desert Storm, for a brief time, we were engaging with the very F-14's that we sold the Iraq govt. to fight the Iranians.

Our war on terror was begun by Saudi citizens.

Yep. Chavez called Bush the devil---th difference is, the Saudis may think it, but they haven't said it.

Ref, whether you admit it or not there is a difference betwee the two. Bush, might have held hands with the Saudi leader, but, for an instance and like Dirt Bike Dave said, was completly unaware of the press.

Chairman MaoBama on the other hand, BOWED to the King of Saudi, and then is all open arms and, "whats up man, nice to meet you in person!" with a complete thug of the world who oppresses his people, media, and everything else he can get his hands on.

But,

is most likely becuause you, like most who think the same are leaning so far left that need a shovel to get past ninty degrees, and think that America is full of a bunch of thugs who should bow to other nations and that America is full of the real, "astroturf" terrorists.

Obama is legitimizing the worlds dictators. You don't degotiate with them you kill them.
