The 09'? Not pasionate enough one way or another to feel the need to post for the rest to contemplate. But if we are sharing useless stuff...I prefer ham for Easter dinner. Any thoughts?

the only problem I have with the 09s is the taillights. Maybe if you were to paint that chrome trim to black it might settle down the look a little

I like the 09's overall, but I don't like the dash or the interior door panels.

I can handle the looks of the front end, but the tail lights wrap around the box sides way too much for my taste.
I never did get to liking the 97-03 style trucks at all. I guess that's why I kept my 94 until 2006.

I like the 99-04, 04-08, & 09 F150's I love the look of 08+ F250's though

As long as I'm in an F Series truck I think I'll be happy

I don't mind the nose on the new '09's -- it's that hideous "sculpting" that they put around the fender wells, which looks absolutely terrible!

I guess the only good thing about the '09's is that at least they didn't go the route of the new Expeditions, which I refer to as Pontiac styling -- taking a Chevy (in this case, the old Expedition) and just sticking on a bunch of awkward looking body cladding. The current Expedition is a styling fiasco....

I honestly think the '04-'08 F150 will go down in history as one of the nicest pickup body styles of all time, along side the '67-'72 Chevy and so many others.

I don't mind the '09... I prefer my '06, but at least Ford is smart enough to shape their fenders the same as tires (round). I can't stand the square, blockish look of our '08 Silverado.

Ford really hit a grand slam with the 04-08 styling! We have the best looking trucks period!.....

I usually dont like the newest models, but they always grow on me. When Ford first released the new body style F150 in 04 I thought it was ugly. I now drive an 05 and LOVE IT!

no point upgrading for me. just styling differences and the 6 speed tranny

I was wanting a Raptor...but Ford stupidly will only make it in a SuperCab

I'm just gonna keep my 06 for a while now. Be damned if I upgrade to less of a truck (06 to 09) just to gain a e-locker...and pick up another $10-15,000 of debt

I actually like the way they look though. Headlights aren't my fav though

It's funny how time changes perspective.

When I inherited my old man's "hand-me-down" '72 Chevy pick-up back in high school in the early 80's, it was sort of the "red-headed step-child" of pick-up trucks. No aftermarket support of any kind, and they were considered sort of stodgy. I can't tell you how many times I thought to myself, "If only he had bought a '73!"

Now, in the last 5 years or so, there has been a renewed appreciation for that body style.

There are a few things I don't like about the '09s...

- The front end looks a little funky.
- They dropped the 5.4l reg cab short bed 4x2.
- They dropped the 4.2l entirely.
- They dropped the manual transmission.
- They added RSC standard, which is also junk.

I've always been a fan of that body style Chevy... when I was a young lad my father had a 1969 Chevy C/10 stepside, black with a custom tan/beige interior. Between the smooth lines, the flawless black paint and the rumble only a big block chevy makes... well, I was a young and impressionable man and fell in lov with it. Sadly, the truck was stollen and never recovered. The only real downsides to those years are the coil-springs in the rear (which the '09 Dodge Ram is using and flaunting as "revolutionary" ).
