Yea.. I'm pretty sure it was just an act on random vandalism on my truck.. I couldn't imagine I have enemies at the local YMCA.. so much for the judeo-christian values.. lol
anywho.. I got bored and I microsoft painted the Cervini hood onto my truck.. I'm not sure if I wanna blow an extra $1000 on my truck right now.. but it actually doesn't look too bad.. lol
I'll prolly end up just attempting to touch it up myself with some touch-up paint and wetsanding.. I figure anything would better than what it is right now.. I think I can live with a dent.. lol
anywho.. here's the chop.. whatcha guys think? Worth $1000? lol..

Sucks. i had something similar happen last year at school. Someone backed into me while I was at the gym, didn't leave a note or anything. Im sure their car got messed up because the hitch took most of the impact, but they did hit my tailpipes and pushed my exhaust system up/back so the pipes were against the frame. At idle at stoplights, the pipes would rattle against the frame and make the most obnoxious sound.
Get a new stock hood. The classic look is much better than the new expensive hood IMO.

One thing- I don't think comprehensive normally goes against your insurance (increases your rate). Second thing, I did body for more years than I want to remember. It can definitely be repaired, but it needs someone who has worked with aluminum. You won't get by without a LITTLE filler, only because aluminum works so much different that steel. You can't shrink it the same way you can steel, just everything about it is different. Softer, yes, but that softness also will work against you. The F-150 aluminum hoods are soft even when you wash the truck. It's a piece of cake for someone who knows aluminum and is used to working with it, you just need to get the 2 dents up to minimize the amount of filler and well stabalized. The good thing is a good bondo (or better polyester putty) sticks far better to aluminum than even steel, it will never come off!

x2 on this as well. I like the stock better. The Cervini on there just makes it look like too much is going on (especially on the front end). If it were me I'd either get it professionally repaired or buy a new stock hood.
