Just Installed my Console Vault for carrying a weapon or two

Got this Console Vault back in Feb. from Costco for $199.00 and just now put it in. Got it to safely lock my gun in my truck if I do not wish or can not carry my weapon into a place and still have it in my truck relatively safe.

Here is what it looks like:

Here is how to install it:
Remove 4 screws from bottom of consolewith 7mm wrench, drop box in console, screw 4 screws back in place (easy as can be, took 5 minutes with picture taking)

Now the draw backs:

There is less console storage space, but enough to easily fit my sunglasses, GPS, and a gun or two

the key is a bit large

you can no longer use the coin holders

All to me are very minor things in relation to have my gun stored safely and responsibly

Looks nice. I;ve been thinking about fabbing something for the spot below the cup holders above the transmission hump. There is a little storage spot there that can do nothing.

Is that safe made for the f150? Or is just a pistol safe turned upside down?

P.S. I see you have what looks like an oakley vault sunglass holder. Juliets by any chance? The only case I could find that would hold them is the one made for them.

dsq3973 - hope all goes well with your CCW course. I heard that the turn around time from submitting your paper work to actually receiving your license is around 6-8 months as of right now. So glad I have had mine for a few years now! Slow governmental process.

squirtbottle09 - It was made for the F150. They make seral diiferent types to fit many different vehicles. And yes my sunglasses are Juiet's. just another reason to have the vault to lock up my over priced sunglasses from the lowlifes that will break out a window to get to them.

I love my juliets. Sure there expensive, but well worth it. I just keep mine in the sunglass holder when there not on me.

Thanks, I have been wanting to take the course for two years and I have always had something going on every weekend that the class was being held. So needless to say I am pretty excited. As far as the wait its the price that we have to pay for our freedoms sometime.

I am kinda pissed you paid 199 for it at Costco. The ConsoleVault website wants 289. How do I get the 199 deal? Does costco still have them?

HKnFORD - I just checked Costco's website and that deal ended on Feb 28th. I know from ordering from them in the past that sometimes they will still give you a sales price if you ask, if not they run the same deals every 3 months or so
