I never buy the first model year of anything. I don't care who makes it.

Roof line is way too square from the back. It's been that way forever. 09 Dodge pickup looks very similar.

The rest of the ranger I like, except for them being too small, not powerful enough, and get worse mileage then my 5.4 comparatively speaking.

+ the decade old exterior + decade old interior + ugly wheels + low seats + no 4-door + overpriced = more sales for Toileta & Nissan.

I'm not going to buy a Dodge anytime soon, but I have to respectfully disagree with you here. Those are the best looking NEW trucks hands down. The 09 F-150s are growing on me, but the beds look too much like the rice grinders, and the 4x4 badges are absolutely hideous. Additionally, they have the same front end as every other Ford now, and I don't understand why they would do that. No originality between models.

Chevy and GMCs are just plain ugly with no hope of improvement from aftermarket.

The Dodge Ram at least looks like a truck still and not like every other vehicle that Dodge/Chrysler makes. I went and sat in one to see if the interior was improved at all, but they are still decades behind there.

I hope Ford gets a clue for the next cosmetic overhaul. Until then, I'll keep my 04. (I don't think there has ever been as good looking of a truck as the 04-08s.)

Had one come in for an oil change, on the drivers side it had a 5.7Hemi emblem, problem was it had a 4.7 under the hood. Dunno who put the badge there. Anyway, inside the truck and outside the truck looked badass in person. The rear supension is pretty sweet too. Really liked the interior, looked alot better then my lariat.

x3!!!

Personally, I like the look of them. Regardless, I wouldn't buy the first two or three years if ANYTHING. (Wish my dad would've learned that when he was the first on on the block with a new '98 *cough* hydrolock *cough*)

Here's Edmunds' take:

It's the Third Recall for the 2009 Dodge Ram
"Recalls seem to be plaguing Dodge..."
