Additionally, they have the same front end as every other Ford now, and I don't understand why they would do that. No originality between models.

Chevy and GMCs are just plain ugly with no hope of improvement from aftermarket.

The Dodge Ram at least looks like a truck still and not like every other vehicle that Dodge/Chrysler makes. I went and sat in one to see if the interior was improved at all, but they are still decades behind there.

I hope Ford gets a clue for the next cosmetic overhaul. Until then, I'll keep my 04. (I don't think there has ever been as good looking of a truck as the 04-08s.)
x2 on all counts.

There's one for the '09 F150, something about stoplight switches being out of adjustment.

Be prepared to put up with some sh't on version 1.0 of anything.

it was a faulty brake light switch that caused the lights to delay a second before illuminating.

but only like 8,700 trucks were recalled, not the 37,000 dodge just recalled

The chassis is still young...

Too many folks fixate and wax on about recalls. Yeah, they happen, so what. Go get it fixed and live on happily ever after.

Refresh my memory, how many F150's were recalled for that little cruise control "issue". You know, the one that could burn your house down. Was is 1,000,000 or 2,000,000?

Every manufacturer has problems, some more serious then others.

The point is even the mighty blue oval has had it's share of problems. Even if we only go as far back as 2004, there were some problems that took Ford a full 4 years to resolve (spark plugs anyone?). Driveline vibe that affected many '04 and '05 F150's and fuel injectors on '05 and I believe some early '06 models. Dodge has sold what, probably about 200-300,000 2009 Rams, 40,000 of which have been recalled. That leaves about 160-260,000 that are problem free, not really that big of a deal. Except around here.

I've got at least one auto from each of the big three. Electrical problems are the worst of problem you can have. Because they are hard to run down. But my point is, all the brands had their quarks, and not any of them are immune.
Transmissions, and intake gaskets are what t me off otherwise.
