Kid suspended for floating air biscuit on school bus!!!

No joke, story link below.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,510235,00.html

LAKELAND, Fla. — An eighth-grader was suspended from riding the school bus for three days after being accused of passing gas. The bus driver wrote on a misbehavior form that a 15-year-old teen passing gas on the bus Monday to make the other children laugh, creating a stench so bad that it was difficult to breathe. The bus driver handed the teen the suspension form the next day.

Polk County school officials said there's no rule against flatulence, but there are rules against causing a disturbance on the bus.

The teen said he wasn't the one passing gas.

Whether he did it or not, he might have gotten off easy. A 13-year-old student at a Stuart school was arrested in November after authorities said he broke wind in class.

This really stinks. Who the heck comes up with these crappy rules? I bet another kid pulled his finger.

15 year old eighth grader ... should give you a clue what your dealing with here. He is two years older than the "normal" aged eighth grader (by February). Not that there is anything wrong with that...

WOW...yet another sign our society is heading down hill and fast. Let kids be kids. I use to stand in the back of the bus in 6th grade and rock it side to side and the buss drive would just tell me to sit down...then agian times have changed.

On a side note I too was 15 at the end of my eigth grade year and 19 when I graduated High School. I was held back in first grade becasue "I couldnt read" I'm now 32 and a Designer for one of the top 5 Oil Companies. So you really cant judge him based on his age and grade level.

I was suspended for passing gas on the bus when I was in junior high, too. That was circa 1980. So it may not be just a sign of the times... Of course, at the time, there was the issue of matches and a small fire being involved. I think someone lost their eyebrows, too.

I had a bus driver threaten me that i would have to ride the short bus if i couldnt sit forward in the seat. My legs were too long to do that, i just laughed at the bus driver and she went back to the drivers seat and carried on her route.
