Do you know why AIG go bailed out?

AIG bailout --- ?????

I just read this. I'll have to see if this is indeed factual. Very interesting

Remember when this economic crisis hit, and Congress let Bear Sterns go under, pushed a bunch of forced marriages between banks, etc.?

Then they bailed out AIG. At the time, I thought: "That's strange.
What does an insurance company have to do with this crisis?"

I think I just found the answer. Among other things, AIG INSURES THE PENSION TRUST OF THE UNITED STATES CONGRESS!!
No wonder they got bailed out right away!

I can remember the several times that former Pres. Bush made TV appearances pleading for the bailout of AIG! He looked as if he was about to cry if they went under! I kinda figured something like this!......I am in no way suprised!.....

I was going to say that they got bailed out because they loaned a bunch of money to a bunch of people that could not afford to pay it back because clinton thought it was a constitutional right to own a house.

Well if you think about it, that is something that really needs to be insured.
It is surrounded by crooks and thieves and probably gets plundered daily.

I wouldn't run the coffee fund for those yahoos without two guns, a knife and a Doberman.

I just hope they are good for it. I just cashed in a $10,000 annuity, and am expecting the check soon
Maybe i should scan it so others can relax.

It isn't really that difficult to figure out. Their lobbyists--who are very persuasive and talk rapidly (as in car commecials) got to all of our politicians, who are dimwits without a spine and also lack morals, values, and ethics---as well as the ability to say, "No."

As soon as you gain a reputation of being more correct than Snopes we'll believe you.
