As others have said you are basically paying the dealer a $4000.00 commision to sell your truck for you.
No dealer will do it for free no matter what they tell you.
Bottom line when you trade you lose.

If you want to know what you can get for your truck, check out your local classifieds and used dealers. Find out what they are asking for a similar '98 or'99 and you should have a good starting point for your truck based on the local market. Good luck, I too am itching to get back into a Mustang (triple black Cobra Convertible if I get what I want), but I need my truck to tow my boat.
