Well Micheal Vick got caught doing what he liked to do, fight dogs. It is illegal here to fight dogs and he got compounded and lost everything hes got and hes in prison for doing what he personally liked. Phelps like da pot, and I dont personally care if he does, but it is too illegal here. So I dont think he should get away with it, when others can't. Let him burn a little bit. Its not fair to treat him any different than other athletes.

Noone will touch this guy to advertise for them; especially if it has anything to do with children. He will likely lose all his endorsements now as well as any in the near future; possibly ever. Companies don't like to have drug addicts; whether he truly is or not it is perceived, to sell their goods.

Are you for real?
Stop being such a drama queen.
Trying to compare Michael Phelp's 'Bong usage" to what Michael Vic, (The douchbag extraordinaire) did is asinine. If you really can't see the difference, I won't waste my time spelling it out for you, but it's not that hard if you just put a little thought into it.

Let him burn a bit? What a spiteful and resentful little man you are, geezus.
The guy smoked some pot, he didn't hurt anyone, and you're out to see him tarred and feathered.
The kid is a true world champion, cut him a little slack.

I raise the bs flag!

I'll put up a sign on the back of my taxi cab that says "Official Cab of Michael Phelps"

OK OK it was us!!!!

The British olympic committee are slowly moving round the world tricking the worlds top athletes into scandals and then selling the pictures to the press. It was decided Ł200million spent on athlete training and facilities was a waste, just eliminate the competition.

On a more serious note if it is true what a mistaka to make-a for a professional athlete. He should have come the UK unless you got kilos of it they just take it from you an slap your wrist!!

In most States simple possession of a "personal" amount of marijuana is a misdemeanor. The same penalty as a traffic ticket. To move into felony charges you need to be manufacturing, selling, transporting, etc, or have a firearm with you.

In NC you can have up to an ounce and half and it's only a misdemeanor. If you're unfamiliar with the amounts, that like 30 nice sized joints. More than I'd consider a "personal" amount.

People need to lighten up...

I see it as once again showing how harmless pot is.
There are MANY, MANY past, current and present prominent, professional, successful people who toked, smoked and didn't go crazy.
It's bad because they changed the laws to say it was.
Alcohol was legal, then illegal then legal again.
Eventually it will become legal AGAIN...maybe when the alcohol and liquior lobbies (major competitors) get pushed back, overruled or kill enough people.

Greatest Olympian in History...is human.
He already had a DUI last year? and still got millions....
He will be sorry as he needs to be and still get more millions...
Then next Olympics more gold.
More millions.
Stop the hate.
