Supercab owners, Could you go back to a Regular cab?
Quite simply, no. I've never owned a car and now I can't find one I fit in, so I'm banished to S/C trucks.
Oh, the pain and torture......

I could go with a regular cab, but the wife wouldn't let me. Not practical for a family. Tonight when I told her that I wanted a Lightning she said, "Those only hold 3 people." Right now there are only 3 people in out family, I guess she's wanting to make it more? Yes, she wants another kid. There goes the Lightning, maybe a Harley edition or Rousch (sp?)
With two kids and a dog, I never even looked at reg cabs. Even all the test drives I did, it had to be either a supercab or a crewcab because the kids were also "testing" the rear seats!!! Most of you know that I've recently upgraded from a supercab to a crewcab, now that's quite a bit of more added room!!! Plus my fuel milage is way (WAY) better because of the diesel (18-22mpg) It's still breaking in and I've noticed my latest fuel milage around town was at 21. That's not bad for a truck as big and heavy as mine. So, would I ever consider a reg cab, nope. But I do miss my old Supercab!!! I could sure park it a whole lot easier than this monster

S/C's rule. However, if I can talk the wife into it, we'll be keeping the '99 Lariat, the 97 Pon*iac G/A for back and forth to work, and getting her a Lighning. But there is no way I'd sacrifice the S/C to get the Lightning. I'd get too many tickets.

Sorry,
Don't want a S/C. I like the looks of the reg. cab flaresides much better. Especially since it has been lowered. The extra room is not really an issue for me. No KIDS! I have the ARE cover so the whole bed is like a trunk. And the way my wife shops, she could fill up a S/C in no time flat and have to make extra trips. We have to take my truck when we go shopping, because she has a Cobra Convertable and there is definitely not enough room in it.
Unfortunately the Lightnings were not out when I bought my truck, but once mine si paid for I am thinking about the 32 valve 4.6L Cobra engine with a supercharger for a real sleeper.
OK, enough of my rambling opinions.

I had three older (all mid '80s) supercabs before I bought my "new" 1997 XLT-STX right before Christmas. I fell in love with this truck! My sons are in college so I don't really need the SC anymore, though I do sometimes miss the inside storage. Gonna look for a hard retract cover soon.
The manueverability of the reg cab, short bed is wonderful!

Never had a regular cab. Had a supercab Ranger that wasn't really good for rear seating. Those flip down seats were just teasers. Now, my F-150 can take 5 comfortably and it's great. Hell, if I wasn't dependant on the Supercab, I'd have a Lightning! Cost about the same after options........

I owned a '98 XL short bed V6 and absolutely loved that truck. I made the mistake of thinking I was ready for a back seat and trunk so I bought a car. That lasted all of 6 months. I bought my 2000 SuperCab and now I truly know what love is. I'll never drive anything else but F-150 SuperCabs. Although now I'm starting to get a hankering for a 4X4. Hmmmmmmmmm........

I wouldn't go back to a single cab. I thought long and hard about buying a Lightning, but with a single cab I don't think I would make it. That is why I went with the Roush set up. It seems to work.....

HECK NO!! I don't think I could be paid enough to go back to a regular cab... I would certainly miss all the room, not to mention the functionality of the seat reclining for those "truck rides"... <eg>... And I'm not talking about a ride around town either.... (giggle).... <eg>....

i currently have a regular cab, but am starting to realize a supercab would be more practical. actually a F-350 supercab 4x4 would be just about perfect; however, considering i am in college, and my parents are paying for my truck, i assume i will just have to make due.
