Lightbulb "No more white lies, my President is black..."

Jay Z and Young Jeezy toast Obama at an after party.

Jeezy wanted to thank 2 people, "the MF'er who threw two shoes at Bush and the MF'ers that helped them move out of the White House"

Jay Z had quite a rap for the moment with lines like, His house is all white, but my president is black and No more white lies, my President is black.

I can only imagine how much this kind of thing is going to alienate Americans even more. All we hear is talk of unity and coming together, but we "see" more devisiveness than unity. Good job Jay Z and Yound Jeezy.

I would agree with you on this one but have you seen the other comments about Obama yesterday. I don't do political or religious threads but some ppl (not all) say some ignorant things. I see things from both sides (white n black) b/c let's be honest this is what it all boils down to.

I don't see color at all and I wish everyone saw things this way. I know this is hard to accomplish when some of us have been brain washed by our grand parents and parents. I have love for everyone. Can't we all just respect each other and get along. Remember that it starts with self. If you want to make a difference, start with yourself first no matter how someone else may treat you. That's my only .02.

Thanks for you time - P

Plus this is the internet age so the closet racists have ***** of steel when they are sitting at their computers typing.

Pathetic if you ask me...

Please inform me of any racist comments. Other than those of Jay Z and Young Jeezy of course. If there's going to be 4 years of people throwing around the race card and calling everyone a racist it's going to feel more like a lifetime.

I guess you must have missed these stories (funny, you seem to do that often)

here

here

and the countless others like them. I guess you only see blacks as racist and divisional.

While any racism is bad, and guys like this are idiots, the US black population is 13.4%, that includes children who can't vote. You really think blacks voting for Obama because he's black is what elected him?

That Young Jeezy song is good though!!! Oh wait, I like rap and hip hop, so that automatically discredits anything I say, forgot.

You fail to see something here. Neither of those stories are about "celebrities". Neither of those people are looked up to by millions of people as "role models".

It's easy to throw around insults and accuse people of being racist. It's a little harder to look deeper into a story. We have Obama talking about change and coming together. Putting aside our differences to help with the future of the country. Yet we have public figures who have a broad audience doing exactly the opposite, while at the same time nodding and saying Amen when Obama speaks. Now that is hipocrocy!!

That would depend on the reason you don't like Obama.
