Hello Texas Chapter, How about a DFW meeting next weekend. I was talking with a few people and they were interested in a get together either at the track or for a Mod Party. So I was thinking why not do both. That does not mean that you have to be at both events, that is up to you. If you have a the need for some racing head to the track with us. If you have a couple projects and would like some help come on over and we as a group will get it done. If you need both that would be great as well. Here is a litlle more info about the weekend.

We will get together on Friday at the The Denton 1/8 mile drag track. We can meet up there around 7:00pm and stay tell they close. For ya'll that have not been there, we had one heck of a time the last time. I will post more info on directions and such later.

As for Saturday we were thinking of a Fix Up The Truck meet. That way you can get those new mods on before the San Antonio Rally. We can all meet at my house which is about 10 houses away from my father's (BlackHawk) house. We have about every tool that would be needed for any project. We could use my house for the smaller project and BlackHawk AKA Chris's house for the larger projects. I know that Mudder and Pony will be there since Pony has a couple projects that she wants done. As for everyone else It should be a fun time even if you don't have anything you want to do.

Mumbly - sounds like a great idea. We will be there for sure. The Lady & I had planned to head to the races one of these weekends to race the T.A., so we may bring that along with us on Friday night. Plus, we need to get Karina behind the wheel and do some runs...

We still have those signal mirrors that I have yet to install, and if I don't get to it this weekend, maybe we could do that?

Indigo, that is what I was thinking of doing. I don't have any toys to put on the truck at the moment. I'm trying to see if one of the local Sonics are having a ride night or show. If they do I think we will just have to go and take it over, heck we may just take over the local Sonic anyway.

Joshman, Maybe we could help you out someday down the line. We could call it the Texas meet in Florida. On a serious note, we started this thing with about 5 of us meeting up at a local dealership to check each others rides. That led to the Austin Rally and look at us Crazy Texans now. It seems we get together every other weekend. Heck this was going to be a small one and it's growing into a full Rally. So just start hitting the guys in your area and even if it's two people getting together, take pics, post them and let everyone else know what they are missing. Best of luck to you!!

 

Sounds good to me...perhaps after the fix up day, we can go cruise over with our nice shiny trucks and take over a Sonic!! Keep me posted!

Hey ya'll, I have been told that the Texas Motorplex in Ennis (1/4 mile track) is having a street night on Friday. This will be a better test of our truck. I wanted to know what ya'll thought.

Here is the url for the Texas Motorplex http://www.texasmotorplex.com/ I was looking at the schedule and it looks like we could go there for the Steet Night events.

Gates open 6:00 each Friday
Time Trials 7:00 to midnight

Racer Entry $20
Student racer $17 w/student ID

Spectator/Crew
Adult $10
Student w/ ID $7

Here is my ?? part. Has anyone every been to one of these street nights? How many times is it possible to make it down the track? I know that at the Denton Track you can run as many times as you want. All you do is go get in line and Run. Is Ennis's Track real busy so that you only get a couple runs in the night? I know that when we went to the Denton Track we got to pretty much race each other if we wanted. Is this the case in Ennis? If they are compariable I think it would be cool to go to the Texas Motorplex.

Mumbly, the staging area for Ennis is huge. Its like 6 lanes wide and much longer than the Sanger track, but they usually only stage two of the lanes (two lines). If this is the first street night for Ennis, be prepared for long lines. I think the LS1 guys are meeting there as well. Rice usually shows up around 10 PM. You can race as many times as you want though. Its a much better track than Sanger. If you guys go to Ennis, you probably will have a much better time.
