Leave it to MS to say to their customers ... Oh well, your Zune will not work on the last day of the year, EVERY FOUR YEARS. This sounds like a GM response from the 70's and 80's response.
The company said it was aware of the problem, and offered advice to Zune users on how to solve it.
Customers have reported that their devices refuse to boot up, and freeze when the start-screen appears.

It said its technical team "jumped on the problem immediately and isolated the issue" - a fault in the internal clock driver related to the way the device handles a leap year.
Said Microsoft: "The issue should be resolved over the next 24 hours as the time change moves to January 1, 2009. "We expect the internal clock on the Zune 30GB devices will automatically reset tomorrow (noon, GMT). "By tomorrow you should allow the battery to fully run out of power before the unit can restart successfully then simply ensure that your device is recharged, then turn it back on."

Why should they be any different with Zune than anything else. The emergency fix to IE they did this month was from a problem that was 8 years old. Their big complaint was that someone let out the info that there was a problem.

I bought myself a Mac Mini a couple months ago with the Intel Core Duo, 160 gb HD, 2 gb ram, and I am using boot camp on it. I like having both mac and windows, especially when I'm testing stuff.
Plus, it really helps out when I'm looking for stuff on the web, and I'm going to these weird websites that got tons of malware... I love watching it try to install on the mac... because all it does is download to my downloads folder and all I have to do is delete it.
It's really nice.
