Yeah... Last week I was thinking about going this weekend. Northwest has a great offer for very very early flights to Detroit. Think it is $150 from Ft. Lauderdale. I don't know though if those early flights are already full. I decided not to go because I would go alone(nobody wants to come with me) to Detroit which I've never been too(I'll get lost for sure) and I don't like the freezing weather. Maybe next year... Today I discovered that there's no school on monday which would make it the ideal weekend to go to Detroit.

I'm "from Texas", but my Grandparents live in Mich. & I did too for many years growing up. The Detroit Auto show is awesome. Also, the Hot Rod show up there in Cobo Hall is HUGE, from what I remember. My parents used to take us to those every year ! Great shows. Too bad it's so far from Texas....

Well I went, I saw, I conquered!
I ended up taking my Truck after all cuz some reporter at the press hit my buddy's Explorer. (can you say "IDIOT!")
I was wided eyed and bushed when I got back, but took lots of pics! Look for a new contest on my pages soon, called "What was the ugliest car/truck there?" You will have to creatively describe what you believe to be the FUGLIEST vehicle there, and I will award a FORD calendar and some other Ford stuff I got there to the top five.
