It had a 390 HIPO, lowered 3 inches in the front and 2 inches in the rear. American Racing wheels, pleated and rolled blue interior and painted IROC blue. It was a very cool car for a high school girl and ran like a scalded ape. I built her a 66 Mustang GT fastback for her graduation present and traded it to her for the Galaxy.

When I was into the car show stuff with my Mustang and 54 F100, she would help me set up. She always liked cars. It was my son that had no interest. I offered to buy him anything he wanted to restor/rebuild but he said, no thanks, I'll just drive the family Olds. I still built him a 66 Mustang for his graduation which he ended up enjoying.

As soon as I saw your post I knew a picture like that was in order. My first intention was a horse & buggy. That's badass he got a 65 galaxy for her first car. Hell I'd love to have a car like that now just for cruising.

Pics will be Friday morning. I've decided to pull the old stock gray H-bar grille that came with the truck down from the rafters. Since insurnace isnt going to pay for a new chrome surround (the metal billet insert is fine) I'm going to cut out the center H-bars with a jigsaw, sand it down, prime it, paint, and CC like I did with my old bumper. If anything, it will look better with a PTM white surround compared to chrome.

Today when I went to install my left turn signal, I started her up and she must have a cold or something because it had a REALLY shaky idle. I let her warm up and it seemed to burn off but I dunno. May change the plugs once I get paid.

The truck might not have gotten into a wreck if someone was driving.

Shes back!

Picked her up early this morning. It feels sooo weird driving a truck! Can't believe I just said that. But I love it. Sitting up high (compared to a Mitsubishi and Yota) and sucky gas mileage rocks! Before we picked her up the guys in the detailing department washed her down and aimed my headlights. Here's the pics:

If you are going to flame the tails, please respect my taste, thanks!

Going to remove the K&N sticker soon. A lot of work is about to drop on her. New speedo cluster, new grille, new heads, etc. If you want to check out the official thread, click here:

Wow! I'm lovin' the white with the chrome rims! What kind of rims are those? I really like them!

It looks excellent! Now all you need is the grill and those new head lights...

Well my left TYC directional was smashed and as you can see, I've got the stocker in there. The left headlight has the lady's blue paint marks on the lens and its moderately scratched. Plus, these headlights don't have the best headlight pattern in the world. I'll be upgrading to the Lightning style head with corners for $115. Actual cost to me- nothing. Gotta love aftermarket insurance.

Thanks, I'm trying to flow with the white/chrome theme as much as possible without being too tacky. Those are 16" American Racing "Tailgunners" wrapped with P255/70R16 Michelin Cross-Terrains.

Grille will be installed soon enough and I'm working on the white surround right now. Still waiting on the insurance adjuster to get back to me for the headlights and lower (bumper) grille.
