Freezer- Silver it is! I figure Black Expedition and Silver F150 would look good together in the driveway.

Raoul- I'm sure that's not including TTL (OKLA is very expensive). But, it should include destination fees. I'll be sure to ask. Thanks.

I paid $20,318 out the door tax and tag included and no trade in.
I paid $50.00 over invoice.
I hope this helps.
You are getting the sport package, limited slip and CD player that I didn't get.

Cool

Nomo,

Go straight to the fleet mang. and ask them for the price and you usually get a better deal. It worked great for me, I got my truck for invoice which means they still made some money on the Ford kickbacks and did not have to pay for it sitting on the lot.

I do understand those OK. dealerships as well. I checked up there as well as in Texas. Shop around at every place you can find. Call dealerships as well some will work with you over the phone. They did for me.

I'd wait to get what you want. If not, you'll be mad that you did in the long run

Well, I'm really making the salesman work for his money. I went back and looked today (in the daylight) and think I might just get the supercab with captain's chairs. I'm still undecided on the power seats and, on the advice of "everyone", I'm not getting the factory CD.

I'm going to have to order one. Seems their buyer's preferred packages and mine are somewhat different.

Thanks to all.

Question

nomo,

First of all, who told you that Sport is not available with a regular cab? It IS AVAILABLE with a regular cab and short bed, but not long bed.

You mentioned that your wife wants the power seat. Just remember it is a power DRIVER'S SEAT ONLY. Unless you are going to let her drive, the power seat won't do her a bit of good.

I am perplexed at your experience with the SuperCab being "noisy". Mine (before it was wrecked) was very quiet. No rattles, squeaks, or excessive road noise. Just my experience, of course. One thing I noticed when buying mine is that SuperCabs maintain their resale value much better. It is ~$2300 for the S/C and you will get most of that back when you sell.

As for a CD player, the Ford CD player stinks, and it even looks bad IMO. You can pick up a good CD receiver from Crutchfield for less than $200.

If you ever plan on towing, get the auto tranny. It can pull 2X more than the manual. And get the H/D cooling pkg even if you don't want the receiver hitch just yet.

Finally, yes you should order "exactly what you want". I have regretted buying "off the lot" for a year. Since someone creamed my baby in a wreck last month, I am replacing it with "exactly what I want". Worth the wait IMO.

NOMO, get the power Captain's chairs. You won't regret the decision. On long trips, being able to change various seating angles really makes a difference in how you feel when you arrive.

I also change the settings depending on my style of driving.

I'm sure it will also help in the resale value of the truck.

Unhappy

Well, I did it. I got a new vehicle. But, I'm ashamed to say that it's not a new F150. It is silver, and does have an extended "cab", power seats, sporty appearance, and is only 2WD. The truth is that I just couldn't get rid of my old '93. I love that truck and it's still worth a lot more to me than to the marketplace. So, I have a brand new 2000 Monte Carlo LS (dang it hurts to even type the name of a Ch*vy). Thanks all for the suggestions- I really did "almost" get a new truck, but, like I said, I just couldn't give up the old one. With this car, I can keep my beloved truck and have a vehicle with climate controlled room too.

Please don't hate me.

Thumbs down

Hey nomo,

I can't help to ask but why a Monte Carlo? It is such an extreme difference! I thought for a second you were gonna say you bought a Dodge truck but a Monte Carlo?

Forgive me, I am a BIG time GM hater so to me it is even more surprising.

Now if you'll excuse me I have to go beat the hell out of my girlfriend again....

Nomo: What are you gonna do with your old 1993? I guess I am gonna keep mine, and sell it to my dad, and get me a gas-mileager. By the way how many miles does your truck have on it?
