I'm on my 3rd F-150. Before that I drove a 96 Grand Voyager.

When my oldest son turned 16 and got his license he proposed that I go out and get any new car I wanted, and he could drive mine. This would allow him to get a job and earn some money.
My wife said this sounded like a good idea.

I had given up my F-250 when the kids were small because there was no place for a child seat, and as she said: "We don't need a truck." Every time we needed a new vehicle I would ask: "Do you think a truck would work ok now?"

I thought the idea was crazy, but I could get my truck back, all I had to do was pick one out. I ran the idea by a few friends, and they only had one question: "What kind of truck are you going to get?"

I leased an F-150 for two years to see how it worked out. That was a 99 Amazon Green XLT 4x4 Supercab 5.4, 3.73, Off Road, AIR, ABS, electronic shift 4x4, rear slider, trailor tow, cab steps.

My wife drove the minivan, and my son drove her Pontiac Sunfire.
That was April 99. By the end of that summer the Sunfire's tires and brakes were all wore out at 30,000 miles, but my truck ran great. By winter I had wrapped a large chain through the rim of the Sunfire and locked both ends together, but my truck ran great.

I drove a 1994 Deep Forest Green Mustang GT before my F-150. Got married and needed something to haul "stuff" in.
