Nice, congrats.
Saw a few this weekend but nothing I wanted to take a shot at yet. Hopefully by the end of the week Ill have a nice massive one hanging. Supposedly there is a HUGE muley running around on/near some of our land, havent seen it myself but I hope too

um, maybe things are different here in the Great White North, as that would be a three point Whitetail in the regulations and we don't count the brow tine.
Nice buck, tho...

I don't know what you're pissed about as I was only remarking on the difference in terms. Perhaps it was the um? A lot of people here would call it a 4 point, while the people I hunt with would call it a 3 point. Obviously, you folks below the line do it differently. No need to get all pissy about it as there was no insult intended. I guess you missed where I said "Nice buck". It's also a lot more deer than anything I took this year (a lot of hours and kilometres hiked and no joy), so consider me green with envy.

Nice deer!!! I hope to get another chance this week on a buck. A few weeks ago I lost my first deer. I didn't get a complete pass through with the arrow and ended up losing the blood trial. I know it was a shot in the chest but must have caught a couple of ribs just right. There was plenty of blood at first then it just disappeared. Never did find the arrow either. Ended up being a $26 shot and nothing to show for it
But now it's time to reach out and touch one since gun season is in and I have a new 44mag just waiting to be called into action for the first time

I feel your pain man. I havent personally lost a deer yet. But i have tracked a few for over 3 miles for other guys at camp. And by that time you kinda are part of the hunt and disapointed in not finding it. I still cant see how a deer hit anywhere crucial can run 3+ miles thought THICK woods but ive seen it happen on several occasions. Originally Posted by dkstone05

I over-reacted and for that i apologize, i was arguing with a guy in my office when you posted about how big his deer was and it was a mear 4 point or up north a 2point. again sorry for my over reacting.
