Hell NO! It just hit the freezing mark for the first time here a couple of nights ago. The day time temps are still 60+, that snow crap won't last long around these parts.

Nice buck, buck!

Is that a two pointer? Around these parts we only rate that a 1 pointer!

Nice Buck!!! Our PA season opens Monday December 1st. Can't wait. Some of the guys in the office get a NY license as well since we are only 10 minutes from the border. A couple of doe and a decent 8 point was harvested over the weekend from what I heard.

Buck, you always deer hunt in sweat pants? hehehehe

Yea can't wait for PA to open.

It sucks this year as this is the first year i did'nt get a doe permit. Seems I am in a wildlife management zone that you can only use the doe permit 5 days after opening day. Since I am fron NJ, and only hunt the first week, it was not practical to get the permit.

But anyhow it's going to be a good season

Hell yeah!!! We have about 14 inches of snow here now so the bear hunters are just chomping at the bit for next week. I sure hope it carries through to the first day of deer.

Good luck man!

Those are some mighty fine looking bucks guys! I hope to head out after thanksgiving for the first hunt of the year. Maybe the place I'm at will allow us to take an exotic (axis, fallow, etc.) this year. I'd love that!!

No prob.
BTW, I have in my freezer half of a 4/3 point, not counting brow tines (7 point for you 'Maricans), Muley that dressed out at 170 lbs. I spotted it, my buddy shotted it and we both dressed it out and dragged it a half kilometre out of the bush. My friend took it with a head shot at 250 metres with a 30-06.
Sorry, no pics...

regards

I have not seen a thing in 4 days of hunting. I managed to survive a snow squall the produced 3" of snow if 15 minutes as well as a lightning bolt that struck a couple hundred yards behind me. Snow lightning is extremely rare.

All I have seen is a coyote, a flock of 50 crows, 25 turkey, and a bald eagle. Still waiting for a deer as I have my 30-06 needing a notch on it for a kill. I miss my deer meat as I haven't been able to get one for a couple years.

You better put the suit back on. I had 12 degrees and almost 14 inches of snow at the house this morning. Looking at the 10 day forecast, it is suppose to start creeping back up into the low 40's late next week. It may not be a white opening day for us PA guys after all.

What's the plans for the mount Buck?
