I ended up packing out a very well fed doe yesterday. I killed it only 100 yards from my truck as I walked up the logging road. A very young deer but large. So I ended up with some meat !!!!! YAY !!!

Pics will come after I get them off of the in-laws camera.

bjp - I live in Youngsville which is in Warren County. Not many of us on the forum from our neck of the woods.

Potter County, PA. Camp hunted first 3 days with 9 guns and a designated driver (shot a 6 point there in archery). 3 eight points, a 9/10 point, a giant 7 point, and a dink that was pushing the limits of antler restrictions. Needless to say my bro in law who shot it took some ribbing. We do nothing but drive from first light the first day until dark on the third.

I had the giant 7 (busted brow), he was the dominator of the area. Had 10-20 lbs over everything else on the pole (almost 60 over the dink) which were some mighty fine deer in that area.

mine:

da truck:

antler restrictions? that is a small buck though that he shot

there seemed to be a ton of big deer this year, a guy i hunt with shot a huge 17 point and a really nice 12
id never seen such big deer, but i think its becaues the corn had been in the field up until deer season

yep, at least 3 points 1 inch or longer on one side. 10 years ago, that would have been one of the largest racks of the year. Also would have seen 40-50 deer on a single drive without 1 buck in them. Times are changing in PA. Some like it, some don't.

i think its a good rule to have. here you can shoot anything that resembles a deer or coyote. Ive killed bucks like that before though, but they were some of my first deer. I shot that 8 point on a drive because the owners of the property want all the deer gone due to crop damage. We have so many deer around here we could kill 100 and not make a dent. I just thought my deer was a little unique due to the velvet, but some of you guys killed some monsters this year

Ain't that the truth. Opening day we hunt north of Rt. 6 which has a 4 points on one side limit so you pretty much have to shoot an 8 point. Nice buck inbred.

Getting ready to head out of work early today as a matter of fact.

yeah, I can't believe the B/D ratio is still that out of whack on your side that they need to keep it 4 points. 3 is tough enough as it is. Good luck!
