The legions of lawyers for both sides were reportedly standing by, we can be thankful it didn't come to that.

ACORN? They fell off the radar screen fast.
Five hour waits because some 'select' precincts were shorted on machines?
People just stood in line without complaint, digging in their heels refusing to be disinfranchised, with a smile.
your right, it probably was best that it wasnt close. if mccain had won by a point or two i can only imagine jesse jackson and al sharpton on msnbc telling me how much of a racist country america is. i am glad we dont have to deal with that today.

I agree, the only thing worse than Obama winning a close one would have been McCain winning a nailbiter.
Only because he was behind in every poll.
It defintely would have been a 'WTF!'

I admit, I would have torn my shirt off and ran thru the streets waving a machete, screaming "coup de'tat"

I was set to vote for Mccain this year until I started hearing more and more from Palin. Then after that I started watching the debates and hearing how bad he answered questions. Then I started researching both candidates and most of the stuff mccain was saying was either misleading or false about obama, but the crap from obama about mccain was mostly true. So I didnt like being lied to.

Then when I started reading up and thinking about the current financial crisis that we are in, and how everyone is blaming the Dems on this. Everyone saying it was cause of Bill Clinton pushing it thru that everyone should be homeowners and to give out loans. I remember hearing Rush talk about this. He said that The republicans could have fixed this in 2004, but they would have lost seats if they reversed those changes. that got me to thinking that the republicans cared more for their jobs and lobbyist money han our country. Then he started blaming Obama and that pretty much clinched me voting for Obama.

I have also talked it over with my wife and I do believe that it will come out that Joe the Plumber was a plant to hurt Obama. The way he was pushing thru the crowd to talk to Obama made me start to think about this.

I guess why I voted was I was pissed. Thats the easiesst way to say it. pissed at being lied to all the time, pissed at how the mccain campaign were putting out the attack ads. I keep hoping that it will all end. Campaigning dirty like that.

Guess to end, Go Ron Paul !

It may sound cynical, but I get lies everyday. I can'tlive in the bed with the covers over my head.
Besides, why would a politician lie
