Those of you in the south without "green" lawns

I'm curious what your "lawns" look like and what they are made out of. Do you still have some vegetation like trees and a garden or is it all xeriscaped?
Pictures would be great.
Thanks everyone!

My lawn is grass, and it's green. I've even got a few bushes and a tree. What are your lawns made of up in BC?

Centepede seeds takes time. Sod is better. Centepede also needs a little shade in the hottest part of summer. Lime and fertilizer.
lots of water.
My health made em let mine go this year. I love it though. With the droughts lately centepede is bad. I'll try harder enxt year, i hope.
I think I may have to go all Bermuda if things don't change, because it has deeper roots

Here's what a Canadian front lawn looks like, and it never gets watered
(we're on a well)

That would be a nice lawn if it was not in a communist country.

Is that a Stonehenge replica?

Seriously, that looks nice. Show me pics in December, and I will show you pics of my tan lines...

Haha. I guess I wasn't clear enough, I was in a bit of a hurry.
I was talking more like people who choose to have property like this:

I'm well aware of that but this type of yard is found more commonly in the southern states (not just the desert, but also people concerned about water in general) so I put that in the title to attract the people that may have it.
I live in Canada and technically, I DO live in a desert. I understand the geography.

A lot of communities in northern Arkansas (Fayetteville, Bentonville, Bella Vista) have "yards" like that since it's easy to maintain. Retirees can leave months at a time and not have to worry about the yard.

Those types or yards are mostly in west Texas, New Mexico and Arizona. The rest of the south is a jungle. Grass grows everywhere lots of times where you don't want it to.

I think I can pretty safely say that nobody in NC has a yard like that.

If he said 'SouthWest' instead of just 'South' it would have made more sense.

Easy mistake since he ain't from around here.

I apologize.

Anyways, anyone else have any pictures and/or descriptions of something similar they have as their yard?
