I saw a news report on TV last night that was showing how the republicans tried to reign in Freddy and Fannie in 2003 and 2005 and the Dems. blocked any reform...
In fact they had a video clip of the Elmer Fudd guy(name?) saying "why do you want to make changes and put constraints on the one sector of our economy that is doing good right now?"
It clearly showed that the flags were raised and the democrats shot down any reforms proposed.
