It will be nice to see him perform after the bills take a 2nd quarter lead.

Good one!

But if that's true, JB, that'll be two excellent reasons not to watch the SB (unless my Cowboys are in it). I blame JJ's titty for all this. If it wasn't for that, they would actually pick half-way decent performers (or performers who are still in their prime - McCartney, The Rolling Stones, Prince, Tom Petty were the last ones to refresh your memory) for the halftime show instead of performers that couldn't even book a tailgate party at the SB. Leading up to last yr's gig, they played every song Tom Petty sang at the SB during commercials. That was reason enough to switch channels during the show.

Bruce Springsteen still sells out arenas that seat 55,000 people. His concerts last over 3 hours with no breaks. The tailgating parties are like a concert themselves. And this doesn't just happen in Jersey. It's wherever he plays.

It would be nice to have somebody who is still relevant in the music industry. The boss well... he was the boss. He has survived on his past. I would like to see someone new, hip, popular, and maybe a little edgy. Hell I'd rather see Britney Spears than Bruce at the superbowl, at least she'd be playing something new.

Are you kidding me?!!! Britney Spears over Bruce?!!! He has new songs out by the way. Read some reviews of his concerts. Everything said is positive. The people that will make snide comments over this are the ones who aren't fans. But maybe some of you should wait and see for yourselves.

Britney Spears!

Do any of the current players in the NFL even know who Bruce Springsteen is?

He's doing a concert--to benefit the Democratic presidential nominee at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City on Oct. 16,Obama plans to attend.

Tickets start at $500 and range up to $10,000.

Only reason to watch would be to see Bruce.

Just curious, how many songs does Britney actually perform?
Can we trust her to sing the songs or will she just 'Lip Sync'?
Is Britney still taking dance lessons from Courtney Love?
She already has plenty of 'wardrobe malfunctions' on TMZ. No need to book her on the SB hoping to see her 'stuff'...

If you had suggested Fergie or Gwen Stefani over Bruce, I'd be on your side. Unfortunately, I can never forgive you for the Britney idea ;-)...

Maybe I should clarify..... I am not a Britney fan in anyway shape or form. I've never owned an album of hers, but I do own a couple Bruce albums. Given the choice of going to a Bruce concert or a Britney concert, I'd choose the boss. I do not place this high on my list of priorities though, If I had a bunch of laundry to do the night of a Springsteen concert, it'd be a tough choice. I was simply trying to suggest that they bring somebody with some relevance in today's popular music. Despite the fact he has some new material, Bruce hasn't been relevant for some time. Sorry LT, I know you are a big fan, but he hasn't been able to successfully update his sound for today. I agree with you RedFord, Gwen or Fergie would be a better choice, I was making an exaggeration. In retrospect, I probably took it too far.

It's all good for a laugh. Halftime is really for getting the meat on the BBQ or running to the store for more Beer and Chips. I never even saw the JJ 'Wardrobe Malfunction'. I had already left the living room. Our friends told me all about it when I came back in.

Anyway, the SB really is trying to please everyone. I am sure they got tired of e-mails from angry Moms about their little boys seeing JJ's 'Hidden Jewelry'. Now we get nothing but old men to look at, except for the Cheerleaders. Thank God they still look good.

Right on 'bout using your allotted time for chores.

I just hope none of the old timers trip and break a hip while running out on the field for the show.

The only reason to watch Britney on stage would be if she was dancing around a pole naked to someone elses music.
