lost arctic cat ignition key
i have an 89 arctic cat pantera 440 l/c that i store and ride at my sisters house...she recently moved to a new house and the sled got moved to the new house but the key that was hanging up in her old house got lost...
my question is if i get a key from another arctic cat sled with the same configuration on/off and electric start will it fit my ignition or is every one different like car keys??
if so where can i get a cheap key and or ignition switch setup??

Just take it apart, and go to your local locksmith and have them make a new key for it. Most locksmiths, if you bring it, they can easily make a key for it while you wait... and for less than going to those over-priced Artic Cat places.
Oh, and I live in Vernon, lol!!! You want to meet up for some coffee or beers sometime?! PM me man!
I recommend Saccos Lock over there by the police station on Oriskany Bvld. If you take it to like DDS MotorSports, you are likely to get ripped.

ALL Arctic cats have used the same keys for atleast 30+ years. My dad is a cat master and has his own set of master keys. They are all labeled A, B, C, D, E, F, G, I forget how many there are but I GUARANTEE its one of them. If you load the sled up, take it to the dealer with you and say you have a key, they should have some on hand and could figure out which one it is and sell it to you. You could also take the ignition out and take it with you to the dealer would probably be easier and just tell them what happened and they should help you out. You may want to take proof of ownership so they don't think that you stole it and "lost" the key.
