i operate an overhead crane for 18 minutes.

then i go into my office for about an hour and then i'll operate for another 18 minutes.

so after 18 minutes, i have about an hour between runs before i have to do another one. they don't pay me to "screw around".

i get paid 71 K per year doing this same routine.

Guess I'm lucky, I am already in front of a computer all day

 

in between runs, is when i break, got to the bathroom, eat lunch etc.

i also have to log info into the computer system after each run which takes about 1 or 2 minutes.

air conditioned office and crane cab.

12 hour shifts, 4 days per week.

i can't complain. it's not a bad job at all.

 

sounds like a government job. Only working about half the time your paid for.

 

Well, it seems the fundamentals of our economy are not strong.
Business profits are up.
Unemployment is up.
Oil prices are up.
Food prices are up.

Wages are down for average workers.
Worker benefits are down.
Dollar is down.

Nearly 5 years in a row.

 

Lower taxes do not alone equal more jobs as evidenced by our current unemployment rates.
Taxes for corporations have gone down several years in a row as unemployment numbers are the highest in 5 years.

 

I just read through this whole thread trying to find Nu Guy's answer to the questions he was asked on page 1, just to realize he dodged it. I just wanted to point that out so that he can answer it, b/c I was looking forward to reading it.

Hey, I never said I was a republican or democrat. I was just simply seeing if you were one of those people on the band wagon, that spout off anti-Bush stuff, and actually have no real knowledge off what they are saying. OR someone that has some good points, examples, and proof of what he "supposedly" has done to America.
