Windsh. Washer Reservoir Filled With Liquor

A father of a friend was telling me when they were younger, they'd make a hose into the cab with a tap type deal on it, attached to the windshield washer fluid reservoir. They'd fill that up with alcohol/beer and presto, no open container.

Anyone have any similar stories from their childhood, thought it was a clever idea.

We use to run in the demo Derby's every year at the fair and would do the same thing. Fill the washer reservoir up w/racing fuel and then take the lines and dump them into the carb. Rig the switch so it was continuously on and presto. Worked pretty good!

Johnny that's pretty clever. I was referring to actual drinking alcohol, not alcohol injection but that was a neat use I'm looking to hear about!

There's a reason that alcohol isn't allowed to be consumed in vehicles. Open container or not, it's still illegal and would probably be even more of an expensive fine than the tickets you already have.

Plus, if the LEO smells it, he can search the vehicle, find the line, trace it, and wham you with more fines. And i'm sure that police forces have never heard of that idea.

Your driving privledges must not be that important to you.

What if only the passengers are boozing? I think its a creative idea. Still illegal but not nearly as bad.

I do not support drinking and driving either, and i know not every single person on here was straight edge in their youth...

My roommate made a "cooler" out of his center console in his '98 F150. He would put a bag of ice and drinks in there and when it came time to empty the ice out he would turn on a belge (sp?) pump and it would pump it out onto the ground under the truck.

on my old 4runner my friend and i actually made one ( we too had heard of stories thru dads). our set up was the ultimate. we took two nos bottles (the twenty two ounce plastic ones) and threaded in copper ends, that plastic (similar to fish tank) hose could fit over. then the two lines joined up by a connecter to one line that ran thru the firewall to a hand operated on off valve. what was so funny is we used two hose clamps to mount the bottles on the inside of the firewall so it i could brag i had nos. too be honest we never used it (it leaked quite a bit), but it filled up an entire after noon and makes a funny story
