Try right clicking the desktop, then...
Desktop -> Customize desktop
Click on the full icon and click restore default. Do the same for the empty icon.
Not sure if this will work or not

*Edit*
Just saw you have Vista. Not sure if this is even worth trying.

you might just be able to right click and go to "undo delete" if that was the last thing you did

Get XP ultimate by johnny. Free and has all the XP, Vista, MacOS, and Linux features. www.winxpu.info You will be much happier without the "clutter" Vista has. Vista also takes up WAY to much system resources. If not, I would try screw_firstdate's suggestion.

I can't tell you how many times I've done that. It's been a while for me. I just use the little search bar in explore and type in icons or recycle bin. It should give you a suggestion to what you're looking for. I know screw firstdate is right with the icons and having to restore the defaults on the two icons. Sorry I couldn't help more.

LMAO, you recycled the recycle bin huh

So where does the recycle bin go when you recycle it? It obviously cant go to the recycle bin, because it is the recycle bin, and its gone.....but everything goes to the recycle bin when you recycle it

You may be able to find another recycle bin on ebay.
