We can't make abortion illegal. Its not ok that it has to happen, but it cannot be illegal, or you would have whisky bottle back ally abortions, and those are not ok either. Adoption would work a hell of a lot better if it wasn't so easy to adopt an African baby over an American. The waiting lists for American babies is years long, with a multitude of requirment.
Your answer sounds closer to Obamas than McCains.

It's nice that McCain can take the moral high ground without consideration for the consequences.

I don't think McCain is not considering the consequences, I just believe that he wants to fix the problem that causes abortion, which in my opinion, is a generation of lazy parents that failed to instil morals into their children. Actually I think if we solve that problem, it would solve a lot of the othe ones.

I personally agree with McCain that lives begins at conseption, however, I think instead of these politicians trying to get elected on a yes or no on abortion campaign, they need to do what is best for America and come up with a compromise. Rape, insest, yes abortion is ok. You got druink at a party and your one night stand wasn't wearing a condom.......tuff shvt.

the problem is that people are using abortion as a form of birth control.

How about leave it to the person to decide. Don't like it, don't do it.
