You might be able to forget about the horrific violence, torture and murders, caused by Christians to 'convert' non-believers, but history doesn't allow us the luxory to forget such attrocities.
if you are talking about the crusades then yes that was not the greatest move but it was to stop the islam religion from spreading not to kill non believers. If it wasn't for the crusades then all of europe would now be mostly if not entirely islam. It can be looked down upon as a horrible killing spree for no reason but it had its reason and i am glad it took place otherwise who knows what this world would be today

didn't read it all but you cant say that bible is a book of morals because Jesus said believe in me and you can go to haven ETC... and if that is not true than it is a lie soo how can a book that is written about a liar and about a huge lie be a book of morals??

that is false..
the new testament of the bible was written 25 years after the actual occurrences, and it has over 5724 manuscripts backing it all up.

the accuracy of the text is as accurate as it can be.. there are numerous archeological test you can show which prove the reliability of the bible and several other test aswell

I'm relishing the chance of a good debate with Hinesy and the crew on this one "

Hinesy? Trying to make him German? Or hilter like? That is what I got as an impression. If I am wrong... sorry. But still looks like name calling. Just struck me wrong right away.

It seems to me that the more impoverished and uneducated people are, the stronger their belief in God is, I wonder why that is?

It would be interesting to conduct a study...

Take 100,000 high school drop-outs who live on or below the poverty line, then take 100,000 college grads who earn $60,000++

Poll both groups and ask everyone if they believe in God.

My money says the poor, uneducated group will contain a higher % of believers that the other group.

I wonder why?

All true Catholics accept Christ as their Lord and Saviour.
Just like any Christian religion though, there are those that claim to and those that truly do.
