Every summer I always find 1 or 2 sparrows in my lower grill... funny thing is that I never see them... They do go splat pretty good though...

I've hit tool boxes and deer with that 'Scape though... those plastic bumpers absolutely suck...

Yeah, I hit an owl back in the 70's. I was running to Del Rio Texas on Hwy 90 at about 85 mph about 3 AM. I was running twin airplane landing lights on the front of a 71 Dodge 318, auto, 1 ton pickup when an owl came down just in front of the truck. I hit it windshield first and it went thru the cab and out the back glass. It fell...or what was left, fell in the bed of the truck. Only bad part was I was about 40 miles from anywhere and it was in the 20's outside. It was one cold trip into Del Rio. Most of the feathers blew out right away and there was next to no blood in the truck. FWIW, that was back when Dodge made a truck. That was the most bulletproof truck I've ever owned and God knows I tried to destroy it. But 235,000 miles later, I sold it to a church who still uses it. They've done very little work to it.

I had rented a Cadillac CTS to go pick up my little brother from Ft. Hood upon him returning from Iraq. I was on 290 crusing along at about 75 and a roadrunner ran out. I honked but couldn't swerve and I heard a loud "thud". I looked back and only saw a bunch of feather, no body. Well to make a long story short, when I returned the car three days later there was this horrendous smell coming from the front valance. I had checked it but there was limited space. They had to put the car on a lift and remove 3 plastic pieces to get to the cooked body of the road runner.
