Uh no. I have college buddies that give used car loans at over 20% interest. Most that buy a 4k car...thats the best that they can do. If they pay 10K...they are getting hosed in the interest, and PROBABLY need to finance it.

He took to the guy and the guy said it was in really good condition 5000 miles ago, now he is looking at a tranny rebuild and he is having missfire problems and a knock on acceleration. it has like 83,000 miles on it.

I've never had good luck with mechanics and think they are more crooked than car salesmen
Misfire and knock 5k later? Maybe the mechanics crystal ball was out of batteries or something and he just couldn't tell you that a sensor was going to fail soon. Same could be said for the tranny too but you didn't tell us how it was diagnosed or what it's doing so who knows.

It's "Much to learn this one has"

Shines
It is a special kinda slime salesmen have.

My x had a K car convertable. As anyone knows they are junk. I traded it in to my relative and got something like $5000 for it. A week later another salesman on the lott sold it for $8500, At the time the bluebook was $6000.

There is a sucker born every minute. Of course this was about 20 years ago.
I knew the car, it wasn't worth what I got for it, much less what I bought it for new

My mechanic is the most honest guy I have ever come across.
I took my car in for rough idle and when I went to pick it up he told me:

"I fiddled with the carburetor and seemed to have it running fine, then I got this bill from my daughters' orthodontist and I had to pull the engine."

Most of the mechanics around here are crooks. That is why I try to do most of my repairs myself. The transmission shops around here are even worse. I have been dealing with a few of them lately about the 2000 Blazer the girlfriend drives. It is popping the dreaded P1870 code (trans component slipping) on my 4L60E trans. GM has a TSB on this that explains if certain conditions are met (mine meets them all) that the faulty valve body is all that needs to be fixed and there is no need to rebuild the transmission. It only has about 58,000 miles and has been babied since new but every trans shop I have talked to tells me it will have to be rebuilt and it will be 2500 to 3500 bucks. WTF! You either accept the fact your going to get bent over or do it yourself, I choose the later.

I've read in medical journals that it's not physically possible.
(...but, please don't post pics)

Ooops! I guess "or fix it yourself" would have been a far better choice of words.

Maybe if you had a double jointed spine and a huge...
