well i've been trying to keep my eye out for a decent deal on an XD, no luck so far. I did find a Ruger P89DC 9mm that I could possibly get for a decent deal, but I'm going to hold off till I can get an XD. Thanks for all of the advice.

I can't wait to get my XD 9MM Bi-Tone ... I'll probably get a .40 or .45 later but I want something that is going to be easy to carry and be cheap to shoot.

you're gonna love it Thump- i was between the bi-tone 9 and the bi-tone 45 and well, the extra oomph got me. the size is the same- the barrel diam is the only difference really. easy to carry and i'm tall & pretty skinny (6'4 215) i carry IWB and it doesn't print...

I couldn't hit chit until I got my Kimber. Now I think I'm Wild Bill.

Mine (along with a few Wilson Combat clips) goes from the bedside to the truck every morning. Great gun!

Does it have a fixed choke or screw in chokes? Any dings, cracks, or rust? You might have issues with low brass loads in the magnum version but not the standard version.(just check the receiver and the barrel). $300 seems to be the low end for used 1100's. Just find out what condition it's in and check out auctionarms or gunsamerica for used prices. Also it may not hurt to shoulder an 11-87 as well. They can be had for about $600 out the door new.

I carry a Taurus Millennium Pro PT 111, Stainless, 9mm, 12+1 Loaded with Black Widow hollow points. It goes where I go. I love it. Paid about $350 brand new.
