Horse $h!t, unless that car was heavily modified. The '09 ZR-1 will only run 205.

The SR-71 holds the record at just shy of 2200mph.

Most commercial aircraft don't even hit 600mph.

The GPS had a common miscalculation/signal loss. It happens somewhat frequently with portable GPS units. No biggie. Funny to see for the first time, though.

I was on an 2006 R6 doing 167mph indicated (topped it out) and my bosses 2007 corvette pulled away from me easily.

That 2275mph was at 80,000 feet where the air is much thinner. No aircraft can reach their top published speed near the ground. For example the F-22 has a published top speed of Mach 2 (1355 mph) at 30,000 ft. but at sea level its top speed is only Mach 1.2 (920mph).

True, but since much of the SR-71's specs 'n stuff are still covered in secret... I have no doubt it could reach the OP's pic speed at sea level.

They will call you and tell you to slow down once you exceed 130 MPH for an extended period (5minutes for me).
Personal experience my man.

Hertz Corvette

I was in Cali last month. Rented a Corvette for 2 days ($367+tax). It was a little after 3:00 p.m. on Thursday and an unusually light traffic day for north LA. I took the 110 to the 5 and got on it. I did see 150 but backed it down. I know I was going 130+ for at least 5 minutes because I listened to 2 songs on the radio. Just before the second song ended my cell phone was ringing. I picked it up and low and behold, Hertz was on the other end. They asked if I was enjoying the ride, I said yes and they said, please slow the car down and keep it under 120. No ****.
You gotta love GPS.

on some of the newer cars they can even send the engine into limp mode to get you to slow down
