This is the word of D
Well technically there haven't been any whities in the city after dark for many years. I live in the ghetto suburbs right on the border of the D. They are still packed with white trash.
I live in the white trash downriver area (AP, LP, Wyandotte, Riverview, Southgate, etc... )
Now, if only MightyWhitey would return!
Isn't it great?!! I love reading D's posts, maybe it'll help clear out some of the riff-raff we've managed to accumulate the last few years!!
Wit with intelligence is hard to find these days.
Wait a second....you do realize they are talking about D right? Just wanted to make sure you weren't confused...
Cary is very high on the list of areas to live. I say Raleigh, but mean the entire surrounding area.
Dude, I should have hopped on the board a few weeks ealier and got a tour guide for my last trip down there (last week I was in Raleigh). I'll need some cool people to hang out with eventually. I'll assume you're cool for now.

Cary is pretty nice, but big $$$. Plus their cops are mostly ******.
Any idea where you might be working? Depending where and when your commute is, you could be facing some pretty crappy traffic. For example, the beltline sucks nuts at certain times of the day.

Yeah man, I could have shown you some decent places. What did you see and where did you go while you were down here?

Cary was definitely more expensive but only certain areas were outragously priced. Still mostly very do-able.
No idea where I would be working. I'll prolly rent the first 6 months or so after I find employement and move. Then get to know the areas better, traffic patterns, etc...

I checked out Cary, Apex, the northside, east side, south side, warehouse disctrict... pretty much got the entire area.

By the way D, I grew up in Detroit, well the Bloomfield/Troy area, you'll really learn to appreciate NC after you spend your first winter here.

Good idea. What kind of lifestyle are you looking for? Do you want to go out to the bars at night, go boating on the weekends, play golf, have enough land so sit and home and nobody's around to bother you...?
Yeah, it's nice for a week, I wouldn't want to live there though. Lots of spoiled *** rich kids driving around, (people are pretty bad drivers around here anyways) ***** cops, lots of rules and restrictions on properties, but it is a really pretty area and beats the hell out of Detroit.

Bars on weekends - Check
Boating on Weekends - Check
Golf - Check
Land... meh... after owning a home with a huge yard and the work that goes along with it, I'm undecided on how much land I want. Small backyard with a big inground pool sounds nice to me.
Lots of land restrictions - FU, I also despise HOA's & there outragous dues. (This will be the biggest challenge if I want to live in Cary).
I was down in NC the first time this past February... yeah, I could get used to that.
