No thanks... I've played with the Touch before... Not a big fan. Got a BB Pearl right now. All the stuff it can do it cool, but reliability is awful. I'm on my 3rd one in 6 months.

 

Wow, every Pearl owner I know has been problem-free. I've been thinking about ditching the Windoze phone to go back to the Pearl but I'm hooked on the HSDPA speeds and refuse to every go back to an EDGE phone. Thus, I wait for the Bold. A 3G w/ HSDPA Pearl would be like heaven.

On a side note, did you play with the Touch or Touch Cruise? HUGE difference. The Cruise is not sold in stores or by any US carrier currently.

I'm not sure whats up with my Pearls.... Never had any problems with any phones before this, they always make it the two years (and then some). First Pearl lasted a month before it stopped charging (tried several different chargers too). Second Pearl lasted 4 months before it sounded like the earpiece speaker blew. I don't make a whole lot of calls either. Now I'm on my 3rd Pearl. Had it for about 2 weeks now, and all is well.

I've played with the Touch. Looked up the Touch Cruise on their website... Still don't think I'd like it. I'd want a keyboard/buttons like the Touch Dual.

I don't really mind the touch-screen keyboard. I have it laid out just like the Pearl keyboard and its pretty good. A full qwerty just wouldn't work. The problem with the phone with Windoze Mobile sucks donkey *****, and touch screens aren't any more efficient than the trackball. I had high hopes for Windoze mobile 6, but it's just as crappy as it was 8 years ago. So sad.
