Why did you say they were having a rebuilding year? Nothing has changed at team 24. Same crew chief, presumably the same crew guys.

Why must everyone call it a rebuilding year when nothing has changed?

Hendrick was kicking everyones butt's last year, now the tables have turned. The other teams have been/are working harder to beat them.

It's rebuilding because they have to obviously re-think, re-work, and re-do their entire plan for the COT. They thought they had it at the beginning, but they dont. They have to rebuild, back into a dominate team.

So, to be a dominate team, your crew chief needs to be suspended for crossing into nascar's "gray" area? I'm just curious. Enlighten us all.

No, to be a dominate team you have to have 4 championships, 78 wins, and be considered one of the best ever to take part in the sport.

Why is it that when a sports team, any sport - be it football, baseball, etc., fails to dominate for a 2nd year in a row they are rebuilding.

Let's say the Patriots finish next season in 6th place. Noone leaves the team. The same people hold the same position they did the season before. All of a sudden it was a rebuilding year. What a crock.

im not calling it a rebuilding year because solely he is doing bad. Im calling it a rebuilding year because thats simply what he is doing. I dont believe they have a run for the championship this year, so the rest of the season should be dedicated to figuring this car out. Who knows. It's Jeff gordon, he could still win a few races this year. Drive for 5!

Gotta love Nascar Internet Racing. I espically like harley's "busch was third on the tootem pole theory"....

What a soap opera alot of people turn this into.

The one bright side is the lack of old diehards who bitch about it not being "real racin' " anymore.

Bottom line.....

Kyle Busch is more talented than alot of the haters give him credit ( or any ) for. He, and the team took a brutal car and won. They weren't lucky ( aka Jr @ Michigan ) it was talent and skill that won them the race. Not to say Jr. isn't talented, he had lady luck on his side in the fuel mileage department.

Bush was 3rd at hendrick. Yes was lucky to catch the caution the right way. It was skill, talent and a great car and team that kept him out front.

Jr cheated. Period.

JB - I never count Gordon out. Think Darlington last year. That was an amazing race. I was absolutely astounded that he finished let alone won.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again (with regards to Kyle Busch).

Who cares if he's stupid/arrogant/risky/c0cky/etc. Who cares. He's a winner. Nobody else can touch him.

Agreed.

Flashback to Jeff Gordon in the mid to late 90's.

When Jeff Gordon came up into the ranks in Nascar Winston cup racing, I took notice and started as a fan. I loved it that he was kicking everyone's *** all the time, him being so young and all. Everybody hated him for that. I think that's why I like Kyle Busch so much as a racer.

smiggs - busch was 3rd at hendrick. are you saying he was above jimmie and jeff? every team has a pecking order. if the patriots had to cut tom brady, randy moss or their third string punter, who do you think they would choose?

i have given kyle credit. not "hating" just dont like his style off the track. or on track when he takes people out for no reason. aka hornaday last week in the truck race. that was a punk move.

like i said he isnt the tiger woods of nascar. period

so are carl edwards, kasey kahne, jimmie johnson, dale jr, denny hamlin, jeff burton and clint bowyer this season. i guess they are untouchable too....
