Same here. I also would rather see the money go towards furniture or other things we need for our home.

Bluejay,

Yeah I'm just trying to lose weight at 6' and 205lbs right now. I've done a good job going from 230 in Feb to 205 now, but want to make it down to at least 190 before August.

I used to be in great shape in college, 185, with a muscular build and six pack abs. But that all went out the window when I started working full time 3 years ago. I stopped working out and started eating more as I was working longer hours and I have a "sitting" job. Thus the high level of PC use.

It's getting better though.

Duke

i had my grandmothers gold necklace melted down and made into a ring.

best advice i can give you (been married 2 years) dude go rub one off in the bathroom and hit the back door out of the place.

honestly man check out freaking ebay. whatever you get though get a comfort band. you'll thank me for that later. i got her $2800 ring off ebay for alot less. hezleberg (sp?) made the ring and even confirmed the price and everything.

Mine is stainless steel with three small titanium inserts, and a very small diamond...

Silver.

It's cheap and it looks good. I've had my ring for 5 years now and have never taken it off. No issues whatsoever. No scratches, discoloration, wearing, etc...

I can't see spending a lot of money on a guy's wedding ring, maybe that's just me. Save the money on a nice ring for her, or for some furniture or whatever. Besides, nobody ever looks at a guys ring and gives him compliments on it. But, my wife gets compliments on her's all the time.

Just my .02

What he said... My wife's ring cost a little more than 10x what mine did...

I've got a gold one, and an anniversary band of titanium. I actually prefer the titanium ring.

14K gold w/ a silver insert. What ever you do make sure you get a "Comfort-Fit" ring, you can barely tell it is there.

Titanium....mine has been thru everything, and so far the only thing I have done is send it back to get refinished. Got mine from Titanium Era online..... Aircraft grade with a platinum band...very understated but also something different.

Mercury. That way I can end it all whenever I get the wild hair... Sure, it's a slow and painful death by Hg injestion but, isn't that what marriage is all about? LOL!
