Drill Here, Drill Now, Pay Less Petition. Help, please sign

Sign the petition:
http://www.americansolutions.com/

This petition will put pressure on Congress to open drilling here in America instead of relying on foreign oil. This common sense approach should have been taken 20 years ago.

DRILL HERE. DRILL NOW. PAY LESS

It's a short term solution. I wouldn't be opposed to it only on the terms that we wouldn't rely on America's oil, only. As well as trying to figure out a long term solution to this problem.

Finding new alternative fuels is what we are already doing. It's a transition process so we need to do both, drill and find alternatives.

Basically this petition is in response to the Democratically controlled Congress' refusal to allow drilling on our own soil. They are tying the hands of oil companies and not offering any solution to decrease our depency on foreign oil. Yet most people refuse to admit that the Dems are the problem and want to elect a Democrat President. Open your eyes people! If there was a Republican controlled congress we would be drilling off our own coasts rather than China and Cuba. They are drilling 50 miles off the coast of Florida, but we can not. Who is more likely to have a catastophe and cause an oil spill; Cuba and China or the US??

Why didn't they drill it 4 years ago??

Neither. We should have been drilling all along while developing alternative fuels.

Agreed. It is painfully obvious now what not drilling and not expanding or building new refineries has gotten us. Ethanol is a joke, wind energy can not sustain us, and solar energy is crazy expensive. Nuclear is a viable option, but the Dems strike again on that one. Rather than realizing our mistakes and need more than ever to drill and refine our own oil, our elected officials seem more like they are trying to bash Bush rather than listening to the people who elected them.

This is a weak response. Seriously, why didn't we drill 4 years ago when we had Control of the House, Senate, and Executive Office?? Can you answer the question?

Don't act like we didn't need it back then....

Hind sight is 20/20... the time is now and the Dems are BLOCKING legislation that would allow us to drill for more oil and build new refineries.

Do you think we should drill for oil in ANWAR and off our coasts? Should we build new refineries since we haven't built a new one in over 25 years? Do you agree with the Liberal officials you elected?

I don't agree with us not drilling 4 years ago when gas was 2 something a gallon. I really don't agree with us not being able to drill on our own soil while gas is creeping towards 5 dollars a gallon. Something needs to CHANGE!! Democrats want to hold hearings to blame the oil companies for their record profits but won't address the real issue... RIGHT NOW democrats are keeping us from potentially no longer being dependent on foreign oil. Blame who you want... It's all Bush's fault or the Republican congress should have done something; the problem at this time is the Dems refusal to allow drilling!

I don't care if we drill there or not, we drill everywhere else, why not.

I'm sorry though, you're kidding yourself if you think it's going to stop us from being dependent on foreign oil or significantly decrease the price of gas...

This oil gets put on the World market and sold to the highest bidder.

We don't need refineries. The Top Oil Execs SAY they don't need more Refineries. They want More Oil.

We export 1.8 million gallons of gas, crude, Jet fuel FROM our refineries...

YOU, SKNR, Try to Pin Everything negative on the Dems, and then come up with some lame exuse Why the Republican's didn't step up when they had the chance and then get Angry because Other's blame certain things on the Republicans...

Show me where an oil executive said we don't need new refineries. Don't talk around it... post the link.

Why can't we drill right now in ANWAR or off our own coasts. Why is it OK for Cuba and China to drill off our coasts, but we can not. Why can't we build new refineries or build nuclear power plants? The answer is simple. The Dems are blocking the legislation. That is why I blame them... right now it is their fault.
