Is McCain Pro Choice?
Happens every election year. Not everybody's going to be satisfied. Nature of the beast.
McCain is a liberal, but Obama is a Marxist...

How can you say Bush is a Conservative when he's Spent more money than Clinton.
When Illegal Immigrants are a BIGGER Problem than they were 7 years ago.
When he started a entirely New Welfare System under the name "Katrina".
Our Military is so stretched we Couldn't invade Iran even if we HAD to without a draft and Soldiers have to put their OWN Money towards armor for their beat up Hum V.

Bush and the republicans dropped the ball on the immigration issue. The public told them so and they had to do the right thing by not passing legislation that would worsen the situation. I get the impression that the republicans figured it was the right thing to do to side with the democrats on this issue being that we have an unpopular republican president in an unpopular war. What they showed the conservatives in this country is that they need to grow a spine.
Bush dropped the ball with Katrina. He tried to be all "touchy, feely" like the democrats do. If there had been more forethought he would have taken into consideration the fact that it's the democrats "touchy, feely" way of doing things that corrupted New Orleans in the first place. It should have been obvious that people were going to take advantage of the situation and further the corruption, leaving people who really needed and would wisely use help, without it.
Our military is streched thin because of a couple decades of complacency. The previous administration did a great job of paying down the deficit, but did so at the expence of critical infrastructure. They ignored the threats leaving us unprepared to deal with them. I think that our military could have already begun leaving Iraq if they weren't being constantly dogged by politicians and people for whom they are fighting, sacrificing and dying for. A little support for their efforts could go a long way.
Yeah, Bush, McCain and the republicans have become way to liberal for a lot of us. Electing Obama isn't going to help a thing though.

Abortion is a MORAL issue.
I can see where you would think that. And in many instances, it is true. But hardly a majority. Most criminals will profess a strong belief in God. I never said I don't believe in the sense of right and wrong at the core of most relions. I just don't believe in the higher power and afterlife tennets used to scare people into behaving properly. I think a man who behaves well, of his own accord, is of higher moral fiber than one who does so in fear of his immortal soul.

I guess you've never talked to a member of a parole board. I know you are a religious man Stealth. That's your choice. But, on the whole, the less educated someone is, the more likely they are to hold a strong belief in God. Most of the criminals in our prison systems are poorly educated.

Of course i don't; but, who knows for sure? It's funny how many people find God in a rough spot of their life, and turn their back when things aren't so bad. You'd be surprised how many people you sit next to in church every week, who are there for social and business connections only, and have no belief in God whatsoever. They probably sing louder than anyone else, too.

I would say that most prisoners who find "THEIR SAVIOUR IN THE LORD JESUS CHRIST" are doing so to help themselves. JESUS and GOD weren't on their minds when they committed their crimes. Criminals become very repentent and religious when they think it will help THEM. By "acting" like a changed man who has found the LORD they believe the parole board will be less harsh. If they thought eating crap and making finger puppets would help them get out sooner they would do that too!
That's the obvious answer; but, let's take the minority of prisoners who are violent sociopaths off the table and see if that still rings true. It does not. Believing in God and being a church going bible thumper, are not the same thing. Most American's claim to believe in God.
