Appointment for Pre Op?
where in Orlando is the doctor? Just curious. By the way I'll be in O-Town July 2nd-6th for a wedding. And I'll be there August 23rd-25th then off to Miami for a couple days then off to Key west for 6 days on vacation.
Too bad no one would ever come to my house to steal anything.
OMRC. It's Dr. Broom if you've ever heard of him. According to a lot of people he's the best in the area.

Naa never heard of him. But one of my biggest customers was Florida Hospital. I spent atleast 1-2 days a week at ORMC when my roomate was in the hospital there from a motorcycle accident. He was there for a month. Its a pretty nice place. He actually ended up marrying one of his nurses!

Don't know if anyone actually answered your question for you. Preop is basically an extension of Recovery; where you will go after your surgery more than likely. In preop you will sign your consent for the surgery if you have not done so. A nurse will check your vital signs and start an IV and get a basic medical history going on you. They'll double check your allergies, confirm the site the surgery is supposed to be done on, and make sure all your paperwork etc is together. The Anesthesiologist or Nurse Anesthetist will check to see if they will have any problems intubating you; putting a tube in to breathe for you, and will double check your allergies. They will re explain your procedure and make sure you don't have any questions. Oh and lastly... make sure your undies are off, no false teeth, no jewelry, etc. Hope that helps.
Best of luck to ya Thumper, hope all turns out fine, I've had so many surgery's the last seven years I can't even remember them all. But I lived through most of them. Sounds like you're in good hands.
Good luck thump!
I have redo surgeries coming up also.
Ya know! When I sell something I stand behind it. 100% garauntee that you will recieve what you buy.

Planned surgeries can have pre op a week or so before... Most times you will still go to Pre op before your surgery. You will more than likely check in again with preop before your surgery on the 18th. Preop generally is in the same section as post op (PACU or Recovery). So you will still more than likely go back to Pre op the day of to have the IV, general surgery talk, and talk with the Anesthesiologist.
