It's cool. I know I'm going to catch flak, but I don't really care. There was a guy at the shop looking for more chrome for his Harley when I was getting the pipe put on. He goes, "Ya gonna take your girlfriend for a ride on that thing?"

I said, "Yep....Gonna get 100mpg doin it too. What do you get?"

He just turned red and walked away and continued to look at chrome accessories.

Don't get me wrong, if I could afford a real bike along with the immense insurance for a youngin', I'd be more than happy to ride that instead.

Whatever works to save gas ain't no bad thing I guess, I have thought about a bike but I carry to much stuff to/from work that its not really an option, then there's the snow in winter!

for just over twice that I can get a 08 honda shadow with accessories tax title and deal prep with a 750 engine that gets real world 60mpg city and highway (maybe even better if I drive conservitavly) oh yea and I dont have to hide in shame when I ride it, now the honda reflex that the wifey is getting I wouldnt be caught dead on. (we are going down next month and buying both will get some pics as soon as we get em)

I'm guessing you're at least 25 and have a long history of good credit.

I'm young, and only have a few years good credit history. A motorcycle is a "commodity" item and therefore not the easiest thing to finance. Not to mention the insurance.

I'll take what I can get. My usual weekend trip cost me about 4$ instead of 35-40$. Can't beat that.
