Wednesday night a city employee stopped and proceeded to chew out my neighbor and I for discharging snow back in the street....I told him we were having a contest to see whose snow blower shot the farthest....he didn't think that was funny and threatened us with tickets....I looked in his personal pickup and saw a 16oz open beer in the cup holder and had been smelling beer while he talked....I told him to get in his pickup and go straight home or I was going to call the cops and fill out an incident complaint report with city...he hopped in his truck all pissy and took off...not another word was said and the the neighbor and I proceeded with our contest....I won
That's one heck of a way to start the morning, Jim. Hopefully you were dressed at least semi-warm.

Good week up in Nashville -- 2 days of travel, 2 days of hard work and 1 day of team-building.....
The highlight of the week was going with the guys to a go-kart track and letting off some steam as a group! Since it was a Wednesday afternoon in February we had the track to ourselves and the competition amongst our group of co-workers was intense!
The lowlight of the week was trying to figure out how to address one of our team members who is getting up there in age (mid-60's) and, quite frankly, doesn't have the physical health or stamina to do the job effectively anymore. The worst thing about it was that this guy stated during the week that he intended to work until he was 75, which given his decreasing performance and production over the past few years is going to be an untenable situation.....
