The rain just hit, coming down in sheets. There is a long line of storms moving thru and Athens is going to be in the path for awhile, according to the radar.

There were storm clouds around me pretty much all day driving from Houston to Austin and then on up into DFW this evening, but I didn't run into a single shower. Forecast here in Dallas looks dry, although it is going to be a tad nippy on the jobsite tomorrow morning -- in the 40's at breakfast time!

Passed the 60,000 mile mark on my Cavalier traveling through Temple today -- another couple thousand miles and I will have put more miles on it in less than 18 months than my Aunt did in her 18 years of ownership.....

38 degrees this morning. The old EB was feeling frisky this morning. They are already talking about snow in the panhandle come next week. It may be a interesting winter for us this year.

Had lunch with my dad today, it sucks seeing him with his health declining. He's 84 and always seen him do everything for his self and take care of himself. The last month has been a big spiral down. He had a stroke when we were in Colorado, drove himself to the hospital and stayed 2 nights. I was just informed he has had 2 other mini strokes over the last week and refuses to go to the Dr.

He had a tumor removed off his brain about 13 years ago and they put a shunt in to keep fluid off the brain. Now it's not doing its job and seems to be the cause for the stroke a few weeks ago. He said he has no intentions of even considering another surgery. So basically his health is headed down quickly.

Just sucks. But what can you do? Nothing.
